Came exactly as described and works perfectly. These are not super bright, so keep that in mind when purchasing. These are better for photos where you can place the lights very close to your subject or for ambient light accents. These can also work as decent video lights if you're vlogging or doing talking head type work since you can place them close in front of you out of view.

I’m serious, it’s super hard to find EXACTLY these bulbs. These and the 60’s, one of these are off by like 5 watts but who cares. Oh, so people buying these.. the bulbs are perfect. Equal to noon day sun in all aspects except heat. The boxes came like little rectangle jewels. I love them.

Given the range of products available, this CFL performs as intended, without the high price of a "Branded" lamp (which may no longer be available). There are differences in the CRI, but may be negligible, for most applications. If Colour is a primary concern, switch to LED Corn Cobs, insert a Colour Reference, and correct in Post.

Good quality bulb, I use it with my Flashpoint soft box. Just keep the box and styrofoam the bulb comes in for safe storage.

To answer a potential buyer's question, Lumens versus effective Lumens towards your subject is quite complicated, the biggest factor being the shape and reflectence of the reflector you use. A simple wattage caculation would put this at around 4,000 lumens but you could focus this light by using a parabolic reflector, either the cheap ones from a hardware store, the larger cloth soft boxes without the diffusion cloth, etc. Just buy it and try it. Experimentation is half of the fun of photography! Be sure to adjust your camera's white balance manually if you don't like the auto white balance colors.

These will not fit in older Smith Victor (yellow)lamp reflectors so I was not able to use them.

Great supplemental daylight source when used with the inexpensive ($ 15) clamp on reflectors from a hardware store. Be sure to manually adjust your white balance, as with any light source. I would also suggest using masking or gaffer's tape to secure the clamps. By only using 20% of the electricity of incandescent lights, they run cooler and won't overload your electrical circuits. All CFL bulbs are fragile so use care to avoid dropping them.
