It is safe to touch that with your hands!PAUL C : No, as long as you don't remove the outer casing, and don't cover the heat vents. The curly glass inside is the actual flash tube. That's what you don't want to touch. Manufacturers have realized that photographers in the Strobist era really, really like gelling strobes with modifiers attached, and have accommodated their bare bulb designs for such.BRIAN P : I suppose you can wear gloves, but the glass on the bulbs are pretty thick, so personally, I am not worried about fingerprints.BRIAN G : I don't touch the bulb when putting these on. But if you're worried you could use a latex glove I guess.DAVID G : You don't actually have to touch the bulb with your fingers to install these -- because you're putting them over the bulb your hands are really touching the gel rather than the glass bulb.
