Flashpoint's new ultra small 126 on-camera portable LED light provides action videographers and still photographers who use DSLR's and HD camcorders with a soft, efficient cool fill throughout a 60° spread. Our LED lights provide visually accurate color temperatures, flicker-free output, and no color shift when dimming. When used outdoors, the small, self-contained LED light produces copious fill light to alleviate deep shadows, while blending ambient available light to add modeling to subjects.

The cool burning, super lightweight 'go anywhere' device fits comfortably atop the hot shoe of your camera or off-camera via the convenient stand thread. The power options uses almost any capacity industry standard Sony type lithium battery cells and the universally available AA's. This 126 model offers a clear numerical digital battery power level verification for the ever vigilant. Brightness levels are controlled by stepless control dials on the back, assure flicker free shooting sequences and are displayed digitally as well.

The light can be linked by means of hotshoe type tracks to dovetail on vertical and horizontal configurations with sister units to create a multi-panel power array.

The front mounting magnetic color diffusion panels provide lightening fast solutions for the 'run and gun' shooters, moving from one lighting situation to the next environmental challenge.

One of the brightest advances in technology is the advent of the light-emitting diode (LED), a two-lead semiconductor light source. When an appropriate voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron 'holes' within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light is determined by the specific energy band gap of the semiconductor.

LEDs are small, durable and need little power, so they are used in LED strobe lights or continuous camera lights without detrimental heat output, and operate at a safe, low voltage, instead of the 250+ volts commonly found in Xenon strobe tube-based lighting. This is especially useful in lighting for videographers, where space is at a premium and bulky voltage-raising circuitry is undesirable.
