I have used the Blaz 300 for a ton of my studio work. Before, I had been using up to three Xplor600s in my studio. This is not the most practical setup, as it can get very expensive and keeping batteries charged was more work than necessary. I never needed 600w in studio, so stepping down to 300w was not an issue. These strobes are very lightweight and simple to use. I think I have only ever used these strobes at 100% power, a handful of times. I shoot at the lowest base level ISOs that my cameras will allow, which range from 64-125 to ensure the cleanest file possible. Even at such low ISOs, these strobes produce enough light for me to create any lighting scenario that I need. The incandescent bulb produces a lot of light to keep your autofocus working properly. The modeling light will produce a lot of heat when used for long periods of time so be mindful of that when handling the strobe and/or modifiers. There is a new V model that replaces this bulb with an LED, but if that is not a concern then this strobe is a very good option.

First strobe light and I love it so far. The power cord is long and has a lot of reach, the light is bright and consistent, the recycle time is plenty fast for what i use it for.

Since the price dropped because they now have the new version with the LED modeling lamp I figured I'd pick these up to keep at the studio and likely just us as backup. I was wrong! These are great lights for the money. I used them mainly as side lights but then put one on a boom arm and because these are much lighter than my Xplor 600pro I needed less counter weight. They cannot compete with the performance of the Xplor 600pro and 300pros but for a maternity shoot I was never shooting faster than these could recycle at up to 1/2 power. At $79 I am going to grab a couple more, they are worth every penny.

the lights and softboxes are fantastic. the lights were a good power for a really small space (even over powered). the grids came with the softboxes and were a great addition. the stands are stands. the bag does not hold everything. have to leave out the softboxes. a slightly deeper one would have been ideal. the R2 transmitter is USELESS. maximum 4 pops before it stops syncing. it still triggers, but just late enough that you get black frames or shutter shadow.

The BLAZ 300 is a great light for not much money. I needed a light with good power, a bright modeling light and remote control through my R2 trigger. I also wanted an AC powered light so I could work all day without thinking about batteries. This one just keeps popping away making pictures:-)

I use this as my hairlight in my studio. It's perfect, and I like that it is corded so I don't have to climb a ladder to change batteries all the time. I recently took it to a mobile shoot and it worked amazing!

Superb little lightweight light. Fast recycle. Radio works great. Only wish the stand mount were a little more robust, deeper.

Great little light in a small home studio. People get tempted to buy the 300 since it?s basically the same price but remember to buy the right power for your available space. There is a minimum that you can dial this down to, 1/32 of 200 works great for my space as a fill where 1/32 of 300 would sometimes be too much light. Also, you have to run a test flash when you reduce power to drain the capacitor. No big deal as long as you know it?s required. My attached photo was taking using the 200 and an xplor400

I bought one of the Godox MS300 studio strobes (exact same product, just different logo), and I loved it. I loved it so much, when this went on sale I had to buy it. First off, unless you?re operating in a giant pro studio with 12+ foot high ceilings and wide open spaces, this will be more than enough for you. 300w is excellent for flash photography, and plenty bright. I use a Godox X2t trigger, with 2 Godox wireless flashes, these fit right in and work seamlessly with that setup. The recovery time is instant, and very very few missed shots. The only ?bad? things about this light are: they don?t TTL, you must set the power manually (on the light or with a trigger). This doesn?t matter to me, I think TTL is a waste and I?d rather control it myself. They also don?t have the same high speed capabilities as my speed lights (1/8000 of a sec HSS). But they do go to 1/2000 of a second which in most cases is more than enough. And the last is that there are less stops of light (1/32-1/1), whereas my speed lights go as low as 1/128. Not a big deal to me, and still is better than similarly priced strobes. For this price you really can?t expect it, but I hate that the modeling lamp is a bulb and not LED. The bulb is long and can?t be used with my favorite soft box (glow EZ lock soft beauty dish). But does work with others. I love these and for just over $100 totally worth it!

Big bang for the buck!! So small and light but with lots of power in my small home studio!! May invest in a couple of more!! Only drawback is the "dumping" issue, but even that is easily remedies once you get to it...just flash once from the trigger! Using it right now with a Glow 25" softbox and it's all good!!

These are amazing little studio lights. Remarkably consistent, we now have quite a few of them. For the price of an extra bulb, you can basically replace a light. There is something wrong with that?.but I?ll take it!

Amazing strobe. Small(ish) but has a powerful modelling light. Great entry level to try before getting higher end strobes. I was afraid only 1/32 of minimum light would not be enough but I've never ran into the issue. Issuing it for product photogrpahy where I do necessarily need high apertures.

300 watt/second monolight for $109? Yes, please! This thing has worked great so far. The only thing I'm having an issue with is high-speed sync. I didn't expect this monolight to support it but a number of reviewers said it's working. I can't seem to get it working with the R2 pro trigger on an EOS R.

It seems to sync at high speeds. HSS a reviewer stated that it did not. I tested it and 8000/sec at full power no problem. Am I wrong?
