Great for shooting into umbrellas
This item is great, if you're planning to shoot into an umbrella. This reflector focuses the light more into the umbrella, and gives a nice even spread. Also, with the additional colored gels, it makes it easy to change the color of this light, modified, or unmodified.
Economic and powerful
I honestly resisted investing in theses lights. I bought two in one day. I am glad that I made the pirchase. I had six speedlights, and sold three of them to make room for my new lights. Best choice that I have made to close out my fiscal year.

The new eVOLV 200 is not just a 200 watt second fully cordless TTL strobe, but an amazing miniaturized modular “SpeedMonoLight” system with interchangeable flash heads. You can snap in the best of traditional speedlite style Fresnel heads at GN170 (ft) or chose to use to the barebulb parabolic reflector head at GN 196 (ft) with super even spread, just by plugging it in. The incredible amount of power and control in these compact and lightweight flashes, make this design a first choice of professional photographers with an eye for flexible multiple light set up. The eVOLV 200 is the next evolution of the Flashpoint R2 radio system, totally compatible with the Canon, Nikon and Sony systems, for remote power control and shooting. With a focus on portable lighting, the R2 family frees your camera to go out and shoot at will.
The rewards of experience and innovation brings you an amazing miniaturized modular R2 2.4GHz wireless 200ws lithium powered TTL “SpeedMonoLight” with a max recycle time of under 2 seconds and enough energy to cover at least 500 full power shots. You can interchange the best of traditional speedlite style Fresnel heads at GN170 (ft) and shift to the super even spread of a Streaklight barebulb parabolic reflector head at GN 196 (ft), just by plugging it in. That gives more flexibility and instant solutions for multiple off camera lighting while maintaining all of the investment in light modifiers in the Streaklight and ZoomLion models. Add the pro LED modeling light feature and the picture is complete.
The basic eVOLV kit comes ready for almost any eventuality. Included in the case is a natty barndoor that accepts grids for the perfect accent light, and the ability to control light spill and flare, plus magnetized color gels for special effects. The included stand block accepts umbrellas and can mount the eVOLV 200 vertically or horizontally for exceptional coverage in umbrellas and softboxes. Twin eVOLV’s can be joined together with a stand bracket to make a 400ws blockbuster the similar to the size of two Zoom Lion’s. The battery recharge is a snap, too, using the external power charger to keep the action going without tying up the flash to reenergize.
