Flashpoint/Godox have introduced a ton of new features over the last few years and out of all of them, from my perspective as a full-time event and conservation photographer - this is the most innovative of them. For events, having a flash with good TTL and a magnetic, removable head that keeps seamless communication with the camera is a game-changer for weddings and high-end events. I can't stand the on-camera look, and if I'm going to do direct flash, I'll put on a trigger and hold the flash in my hand as far from the camera as possible. Now, that operation is seamless, so for example going from a indoor space where you're bouncing to an outdoor space where you need direct flash, you simply pull the flash off and keep photographing, if you're in TTL you literally don't change one thing. Or say you want a bounce from somewhere else in the room - you can just pull the flash off and put it on a table or horizontal surface without having to set up a trigger. It's really really great. For conservation work, this is my new go-to for use with my AK Diffuser, although it doesn't fit perfectly since mine is made for a v860. Regardless - with this flash you can have the traditional on-camera setup (it's a little underpowered if you're at f/11 and doing a stack, but still good for single exposures), but then you can quickly take the entire diffuser setup OFF and hand hold it at another angle, which is SO useful for invertebrates! I can't stress how great the magnetic head is on this flash. When you're out in the field, being able to make your setup more compact and less cumbersome will allow you to get the images you really want instead of being stressed out when you realize you need light from the side, but you have to now set get your trigger out of your bag, set it up, make sure it's syncing correctly, hope the trigger distance isn't too short (v860 SUCKS for short distances and actually has a minimum trigger distance), and the dial your light back in, so instead you just skip the whole thing and move on. Removing as many barriers to getting the photo you want is crucial and this really helps with that. That being said, my (and many others') complaints about the touchscreen generation of flashes still stand. We need to be able to turn the flash on and off instantaneously because many cameras will not unlock past their sync speed with a flash powered on and attached - that's still not possible with this unit. We need to have a physical lock switch - it's far too easy to change settings on the touchscreen when handholding the head, and locking and unlocking with a touch/button-hold function is NOT good enough. Most importantly, we need to have two physical buttons that DIRECTLY, WITHOUT HAVING TO LOOK AT A SCREEN AT ALL, EVEN FOR ONE SECOND, change the power or compensation level. It is so so so clear that they don't focus test these units with working professionals. So - YES to the magnetic modular nature of this flash - I already want the next size up in-between this size and the v860. But I hope they consider this basic request regarding direct power control that literally every single working event professional user of a flash like this on the entire planet would appreciate.

I am very pleased with this combination. Easy to set up. Easy to use the flash off camera. Small, light, powerful for its size and flexible in use. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Looks like it did on the website. Performs as described. The most difficult part of setting it up was opening the box.

Great little flash. Lots of power. I wouldn't use it for a paid full event, but it's been great to travel and do some passion work with.

Outstanding product. Small enough to put in your pocket and it gives the opportunity to use off camera flash very easily. In addition the small trigger allows one to fire any Godox flash!

One of the most compact WIRELESS systems I have owned.... YET (cuz I originally was eyeing the IT 30, till I saw the release of this one) I really like how compact this system is and for now it is great for what it is. I've owned many Flashpoint flashes, but this one takes the cake on how they thought out on the design, compact and portability. I also like the fact it has a model light for the small size it is. Though the downfall is you cannot swap out its internal batteries, if you so happen to need the unit for a specific job and need spare batteries to swap it out and continue using. You CAN use it while its charging though, if you need it to continue shooting. Magnets on it are pretty strong so I am not exactly scared of the unit popping off while using. Oh and it includes at least 2 colored gels, which I didn't expect when I hit the add to cart button. I own TT350s, V1, the 100, 300, 400s and 600s. To see flash this compact (especially when running and gunning on non paid projects) I am pretty content with what it offers.
