It's a steal for any beginner or intermediate.
I only have one small complaint about this light and that I wish I had bought it sooner! The modeling lamp adjustments are great! I can leave it on at full power. My streaklights don't have modeling lamps so I added this for studio use. They pair well with Streaklights too. It's fast enough for a shoot. The Flashpoint Studio 300 II-V R2 Monolight Flash is a manual, non-TTL 300-watt second monolight, part of the R2 Family of wireless radio-controlled flashes. Despite their compact size, these units deliver a guide number (GN) of 228ft / 58m when used with standard Bowens reflectors and modifiers.
The kit also features a professional 10W COB LED modeling light, adding to its versatility and making it a preferred choice for photographers seeking flexible multiple light setups. The units are designed to operate on household circuits without blowing fuses, ensuring reliable performance.
The R2 Wireless Remotes that command the Flashpoint R2 Family of Flash work in perfect harmony with the Studio Series. The Studio 400II-V and 300II-V R2 have maximum recycle times of 1.5 seconds, providing consistent, high-speed performance.
The units offer precise control with a clear Power, Sync, Channel, and Group menu displayed on the rear graphical LCD panel. Manual controls are adjustable in a tenth (0.1) of a stop increment, ensuring accurate settings throughout the 4-stop range.
The built-in R2 radio receiver links to transmitter signals up to over a 100m/328ft range with 32 channels and 16 individual groups, providing flexibility and control in various shooting environments. The units also feature a standard PC port for wired connections.
The adjustable 5-100% bright and cool COB LED lamp provides unlimited modeling lamp use, powered by AC mains. The replaceable flashtubes are surrounded by the standard Bowens S-Type 60-degree high-efficiency reflector, ensuring optimal light distribution.
