It's ok for the price, I don't plan on using it in any professional capacity. I don't know if it would hold up or not. I don't often use on camera flashes. It works well, for light useage it's fine. I've used it a little bit, I haven't had any problems in over a year. I don't like the side battery door, I feel like it's going to break.

This speed light worked great for me! I was able to pair it with a slightly older model of the Flashpoint Speed lights and it worked great, only took me 5 minutes to figure it out. This light is easy to use and provides great value for the price! My only complaint is that I wish it had a rechargeable battery. Other than that though, it's awesome.

Bought this to replace Canon 430 EX III-RT and Canon 600 EX RT. The Canon radio transmission flash system had beoome useless due to constantly dropping signal and I needed a reliable replacement. This flash, along with the R2 Pro Mark II trigger work flawlessly with no dropped signals. The flash menu is easy to understand and this system can be controlled from my Canon R6 camera. I haven't had it long enough to assess its long term durability but it seems to be a very stable system that costs much less than the (no longer reliable) Canon flashes.

This is my second Flashpoint on-camera flash unit and it is just as good as the first one, but with more features. The quality is great and it is very straight forward in it's operation. Although hesitant in the beginning to use a third party product, I'm very impressed with Flashpoint products and will continue to buy them. The product quality, workmanship, compatibility with other units, and the price point make these products a no-brainer. Thanks, John Haus

I already had a Zoom-Mini, but wanted to get this too for when I needed a bit more power. I'm happy to have both now, since the Zoom-Mini is great to have for when portability is more important, and the Zoom II is perfect for when that's less of a concern.

Have another AA powered Flashpoint speedlight that's been flawless for a couple years, but lets be honest, another is frequently useful. I really like the new way of the single lock to install on your hotshoe instead of spinning the ring until it's tight. I know Canon has this, but its nice to see on a 3rd party flash as well. Highly recommended, especially while using the XPro/R2 Pro transmitter.

I chose the AA version because I have 32 spare ENELOOP batteries that I bring with me to every shoot and for events I use an external battery pack. I realize the LiIon version gets more flashed per charge and recycles faster but when the battery dies you can't run into Walgreens and get a new battery pack. The features are great and they work flawlessly with the wireless triggers. I have 2 earlier versions and 2 of the newer Zoom II versions. They work great with all my Canon cameras with the exception of my 1DMk3 but then I have a Canon 600EX-RT that doesn't work with it either. However, if I put them on the X1Tc transmitter, then they work fine. Go figure.

Likes - fair learning curve, and versatile. Connects well to the Flashpoint R2 transmitter. Dislikes - I didn't use full power and did not get 300 flashes as promised in the specs, and that was on camera. You might get 200. I used new duracell batteries, and wasn't using HSS. This would be a good option for a short session. You might want to consider getting the one with the rechargable battery.

Works good in both manual and iTTL with Nikon Z cameras. Good construction and reliable based on my other Flashpoint speedlights. The R2 radio allows for use on camera, or off camera as a transmitter or receiver. Compatible with all the other Flashpoint R2 units big and small. One thing I wish was different is the control wheel. It's a bit too easy to change position, but that may be just me and needing more time to get used to it. I got the AA battery unit as I have lots of AA rechargeable batteries and battery chargers. The AA batteries last long enough for anything I have to photograph and recycle fast enough for me as well.
