EC-200 Extension for AD200 Flash Head for eVOLV 200 or Flashpoint AD200 Pocket Flash
I have two (2) of these guys. I used them to reduce to amount of weight in a light stand and the battery is used as a weight to keep the platform stable. With the R2 transmitted attached to the hot shoe on the body this communicates with the AD200 and I can control the lighting output from the body and never have to touch the light or stand. I almost wish that they came with a 16 ft or 20 ft extension so that the battery can be place further away from the head and the softbox. Great accessort and highly recommended.

Evolv200 Ext Head Cord
Absolutely love the extension head cord! You dont lose any power and it helps keep your Evolv200 main unit lower and safe from falls. You can also end up using the main unit in place of a sandbag!

Takes a lot of weight off the end of a boom or top of a light stand.
The cable between the two ends is a little heavy and stiff. If the cable was a little lighter and more flexible, I'd give it five stars.

Extension Flash Head
Hopefully, this will save my AD200 from falling and breaking on the field. I did a quick test run and it worked perfectly.

A great way to get the light where you want it
The remote head allows the weight of the flash low on the stands d the light where you need it. Less chance of the rig tipping over. The pouch that is made for it keeps the flash body safe, when mounted low on the stand.

Does the job but could use some improvements
I got this for a very specific purpose and though it does the job there are some things that could be improved. My main reason for getting this was to be able to use my evolv 200 on a boom, for a hair light or the like. The 200 is not all that heavy, but extended on a boom it?s weight becomes more of an issue. So with the extenion I can keep the 200 on the light stand and just have the extension head at end of boom. I think it would have been helpful to have the extension cord a bit longer, it would have made it more practical. Also, although the head does kind of fit in the s bracket (to attach modifier), it?s not really a perfect fit. I think they could have easily designed the head, knowing that it would most likely be in some kind of bracket, so it would be a better fit.
Having a small space, and feel lighter heads make for easier setups and flexibility I am a fan of the extension heads. This is OK but not great.

May not fit on some of newer EV 200
For some reason this will not fit on my new EV-200 but will fit on my older EV-200 and was a very difficult to attach roundhead .

enjoy the flashpoint 200 twin head extension
reduces the weight of the lights with and I gain the use of a modeling using the bard bulb.

Cheap and sturdy extender
Useful tool to move the flash head away from the flash body up to 6'. Makes it easier to keep head with magmod attachments and softboxes overhead. Also good for placing head in inconvenient places while still retaining almost all the power of the XP 200

Work well! I feel much more confident with my AD200 pros not being directly boomed over a client's head. With this devise only the weight of the softbox and head are above the client! Also no changes to output or controls! Works great! I intend6 to use them at wedding receptions to light up the dance floor!

Save me money on not having to replace my flashes
prevents me from destroying my flashes in windy conditions by letting me place my flash lower on the light stand where it won't be destroyed because it can't touch the ground.

Works very well and is a nice addition to my flash collection.
I like this product. It lets me put the main part of my flash in my pocket. With the ext. head mounted on a monopod I can hand hold the flash with one hand and shot with the other. Allowing me to shot by myself.

Must have accessory for ad200
Great product, can be joined with another for a 12’ extension, really helpful in keeping the weight off the top of a light stand.
The only con is the wire is really thick, but that probably helps with durability.

Very useful addition to the Evolv 200 / 200 Pro flash kit
A very useful addition to the Flashpoint Evolv Pro 200 kit. Build quality is very good and it works seamlessly with the xenon, bare bulb and round heads (I don't own the LED head but assume that works as well).
Allows for flexible mounting options in the field or studio, such as:
1. You can keep the main unit on a belt pack while hand holding the flash head
2. Or you can mount the head on a boom arm for extended reach
3. Or you can elevate the head on a light stand but have the main unit secured lower on the stand so as to have easier access to the controls + less risk of damage if the light stand tips over.

Nice flash be sure they send you the correct model
This flash is great 5 stars however Adorama has messed up my last two deliveries sending wrong items or broken ones. Then rather than send out the replacement fast and with the same two day shipping I’m entitled to they have sent it slow mail. Sent me a Nikon version when I ordered a Sony. When they make mistakes they are very slow to fix it. The broken printer they sent me had to be refunded as they had no more made me wait till they got it back and inspected it to refund me. That took several days. So far the membership for fast shipping hasn’t been worth it especially when they make mistakes.

Alot better than attaching a regular flash and it last a lot longer.

I purchased this with my Flashpoint H200R round head flash and it has been nothing short of great! This extension allows you to place the head exactly where you want it. Perfect pair, the H200R and the XP-200 Extension Cable.

XP200 v2 extension cord is a great insurance policy
I use a 33” umbrella or a 36” soft box with my flash setup and both are prone to fall with any slight wind. I thing $45 is good money spent to get the ad 200 lower on the light stand. Also it works well if you want to and hold the flash head for off camera flash or on a stick and have the AD 200 on your body. The only draw back with the hand setup is the cord is thick and can be cumbersome. Only try to use handheld once. But great for light stand.

This item plus Slinger pouch allows you to position AD-200 near the bottom of your lightstand
This item plus Slinger pouch allows you to position AD-200 near the bottom of your lightstand. I read many posts about AD-200s being damaged beyond repair after falling from top of lighstand. I consider $ for extension/pouch to be good insurance policy to protect $300 AD-200 flash.
