I know, I know. I gave the product a 5 star rating; only because I purchased it under destress! My AD400 Pro fell over and the handle broke (making it dangerous to use; sharp edges)!! The handle on these lights should be standard not optional. I use the handle to connect the light to the modifier EVERY TIME. I didn't realize how much I relid on the handle until it was not there. So I was hoping that the AD400 Pro and the AD 600 Pro handle placement would be the same! IT IS NOT!!!!!! Nor is the handle placement on the AD600 (non TTL and non Pro; there is NO handle) and the AD400 Pro the same. So learn from my mis-purchase and wanting it to be the same.

The only problem is that your units won't fit inside the carrying case the strobes come with when you put them on. It would be great if they actually came with the handles and the cases were made to accommodate everything.

While it is a nice handle if you regularly store your light in the case it came with you will be disappointed in learning that your light will not fit any longer. Now if you do not use that case or like me use a custom cut out in a pelican case you'll be ok. Is it worth 10 bucks, I recieved mine for free so I'm not sure if I can recommend a buy.

Helps direct the strobe, especially when supporting the weight of a heavy modifier. With the friction grip style tilt arm, this helps ensure the light doesn't get away from you.

This handle changes the AD 600 pro to be more like the profoto b1. Its a great addition and for $ you can’t beat it!

I had bought two 600 pro lights about a week apart. The first had no handle, the second had a handle. I inquired about getting a handle for the first one and was happy with the response that they were providing them to previous purchasers. I think my inquiry may have been the reason. I need that handle to attach a safety tether when I use these at sporting events mounted on catwalks. Kudos to Adorama!

As noted by another customer, the allen wrenches supplied with the set screws will not fit into the set screws. How this got past quality control is beyond me. But to give the handle "0" stars is a bit harsh. You could simple take the set screw to HomeDepot of Lowes and buy an Allen wrench - viola, problem solved. I think the handle works great when attached and the fact that Adorama sent them out for FREE to previous customers is pretty darn awesome - You can see my video about the handle here ..... https://youtu.be/YdabiPo1W2A

I purchased my XPLOR 600Pro a month ago and love it. When not on my C Stand or on a portable mount, I've carried it around by the mount that those attach to. It wasn't ever the most convenient. This handle arrived, mysteriously today. At first, I had no idea what it was or what for. I then noticed a packing list and looked at my unit to see where it goes. I affixed it and it is certainly an improvement, however now it will not fit back in its case! The handle jets out from the rear, under where the battery would be (you have to detach the battery to put the unit in its case) and thus, it is too long to zip the case shut. I think I'd rather keep it nice and safe in the case instead of having the convenience of this handle, which is merely that, a convenience. If you use your case to store this unit, you may find this annoyance to be more problems than it is worth like me. If you just drop the unit into a different bag or toss it in your car, then maybe you'll enjoy this. Thanks to Adorama for the free part, nonetheless.
