Sturdy, better than the original Godox V1S attachment

Much better than the original hot shoe that came with the flash. Previous attachment was plastic and flimsy, this one is metal and very sturdy, has a satisfying attachment so you?re not concerned whether or not it?s properly. My previous attachment required me almost force it in which probably led to me needing a replacement. Another issue that I no longer have is ?this accessory is not supported by this camera.? I would get that all the time with my previous attachment, whereas I?ve had this new one for a little over a month and it?s worked perfectly fine.

Necessary to have on standby.

Highly recommended, as a matter of fact, have 2 at all times. As accurate and powerful this flash is, the hot-shoe design is very weak, the worst I?ve ever seen on any speed light from any manufacturer. I have 2 of these efficient flash units, and have replaced hot shoes on each, 2 times. And I?m not hard on my gear. In the 30 + years I shot with Canon, I never once replaced a hot-shoe foot.

Bitter sweet

Necessary evil.

I am thankful that this replacement dongle is available. While the Li-on X flash is a fantastic powerful and full-featured speedlight, this hot shoe mount, with quick release is a horrendous design. The older (more inconvenient?) design of a twist friction lock, was a much more robust connection. Before the Sony, I shot Canon for decades and NEVER had a hot shoe failure.

Strange Flash Part Doesn't work with Sony Flash

I thought this was part was for a Sony flash, but was the wrong part. Adorma was very easy to work with to give refund.

If your old Zoom Li-on X/III hotshoe broke or got damaged and you need a replacement, the Flashpoint Replacement Zoom Li-on X Hotshoe for Sony is here for you. This hotshoe is engineered for Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X flash and will fit Sony cameras. The device features spring-loaded electrical contacts and a locking ring with a quick-release button. To install this hotshoe, unscrew the four screws on the button of your Li-on X flash, remove the damaged hotshoe, and pull out its flex ribbon cable.
