Okay for the price - know what its limitations are

Fair construction, not great. Plasticky feel. The knobs to secure the extension tubes probably won't hold up too long. Fine to hold up small LED lighting units or lightweight reflector. Total height is about 40". You need to secure w/ a sandbag to keep it from tipping over.

Good for a speedlite

Works well enough for a speedlite and light modifier (ie: reflector). Legs aren't very wide so it could be unbalanced at full height if a large modifier is attached. Otherwise good cheap option as a small background light for a seated subject.

Value mini stand.

Kind of lightweight. The equivalent product sold by the brand starting with ‘I’ is more robust, and goes slightly higher. Neither one is good for anything with real weight. I use this with speedlites so it’s ok. To be clear, the ones I bought haven’t broken, but they feel like lesser quality.

The Flashpoint FPLS3 stand is the perfect backlight stand. Durable and versatile, carefully crafted from the finest lightweight yet sturdy materials, this stand is composed of all the features you need. A standard 1/4" screw on a 5/8" stud, large, easy to turn knobs, variable tension, sturdy legs, rubber tipped feet, and lightweight balance and stability all combine to make this your perfect lightstand.

A Standard 1/4" Screw on a 5/8" Stud means that you can mount virtually any light, modifier, speedlight, or bracket to this stand
Large, Easy to Turn Knobs prevent you from pinching your fingers, give you a better grip, and allow you to lever more torque to tighten and loosen the stand sections, making it easier to raise, lower, and lock the stand
Variable Tension allows you to loosen or tighten the sections incrementally, to safely raise and lower each section
