Tightening knobs are a very weak point of this stand
I own 6 of these. The stand pole parts are decent, but the knobs to tighten strip at a very high rate. I need to buy 3-6 per wedding season just to keep them functioning. Most of the time they are holding AD200pro and/or AD400pro lights. Both well within the weight limit of the stand. If you buy these, be prepared to reinvest in knobs throughout their life.

Could be better
What I like about these is that they're lighter than the original and the footprint isn't as big so people won't trip over them as easily at weddings, BUT the major drawback is that the legs don't spread quickly and smoothly so if you expect to drop it down and walk off, it'll possibly fall right over. Often I have to make sure the legs are spread out correctly before I walk off which defeats the purpose. My associate photographer already broke a strobe since it fell over after she placed it down. Tip: Put some loctite on the screws so they don't unscrew on you mid-wedding.

Excellent Bundle, Great Price
This is a fantastic bundle to have! The quality of every piece in the bundle is exactly what I needed for my first strobe. The stand is very sturdy and easy to carry around.

Non-Cubersome lightstand
A lightstand that's not cumbersome picking it up. The legs makes this stand as not as heavy duty as one would think. It's more on the line of a lightstand that you would use with a speedlight and a modifier.

A great big improvement over the original auto-stands - they are better than ever!
I've owned Flashpoint Auto-stands and used them in sand, in the water at low tide, back to the gym, and then on turf, and while I've lost the rubber feet many times, and the old knobs got worn out (Adorama happily sent me replacement ones at no cost). They were always dependable and easy to use and maneuver. So when I was looking for replacement stands for the three I have, and saw that that there is now a new Pro version, and on a special price for a 3-pack, I ordered them, and am very happy with them. They are sturdier, easier to open and close, and they just seem to be better overall. I was going to keep my old ones for using in outdoor situations, but now that I've used these new ones, I am going to order another set just for outdoor use.

Awesome light stand
I just picked up one of these. This thing is awesome. Way better than the previous model and it is heavy duty. The case it comes is really nice as well.

Not at all sturdy
I purchased these stands for use in on-location portrait sessions and for lighting wedding receptions. They are not suitable for using on uneven ground at all, so I stopped trying to use them on-location unless I was in the city and had a completely flat surface to use them on. For wedding receptions they were good to start with but after about 20 uses they fell apart!

Very convenient.
Great to fit into tighter spaces that a regular light stand. The auto-folding legs are very convenient. There is a YouTube video comparing these to Cheetah stands, and they thought these Flashpoint auto stands were better. They comes with their own bags too, and that is nice.

The improved model dampens the mechanical sound of automatic splay and retraction through advanced design. Use this sturdy stand to support your lights and modifiers, and then quickly move from location to location by simply lifting the stand - the legs automatically retract! Soft air-cushioning brings a professional touch to Auto Stands.
This stand is a lifesaver for lone photographers and videographers, plus an ultimate tool for photo assistants to quickly and easily set up in any location. You can move safely and discretely from scene to scene and set up in areas where you would have difficulty extending the legs manually. Puts an end to the awkward routine of spreading legs and locking to achieve impressive multiple lighting effects. Even one-handed, on-the-run lighting setups are a breeze.
The Flashpoint 7' Heavy Duty Air Cushion AutoStand Pro adjusts from about 2.76 feet to about 7 feet and folds down to 33 inches for storage or transport. The stand comes with a reversible 5/8" stud, with a 1/2"-20 thread on one end and 3/8" on the other, which can be mounted either vertically or horizontally as needed. All hardware and fittings are of sturdy metal construction, except for the smart cushioned feet with silence in mind.
