Best travel light stand period. They are very durable and high quality while staying lightweight for travel. Perfect for videographers and photographers that travel. We flew with two of these light stands on the side of our back packs with zero issues. Would highly recommend.

It really does take a lot of force to lock some of the sections down. I was looking for an alternative to the cowboy studio nano stands that I can?t seem to find anymore. These are not as nice. The flashpoint ones are generally cheap feeling. On the plus side they have a bit more height for when I want to put a hairlight over my westcott xdrop.

It is very portable. It is light. I was at an outdoor wedding and it fell twice but bad is me that I did not sand bag it. It was in grass. I will travel with it a lot. I might prefer one with more foot adjustments. But every thing adds weight. Is one of the few like this that can reach that high.

This is a good stand, in that it feels sturdy and folds compactly. The legs do not consistently give me a perfectly level stand and it takes some fiddling to get it right

Good compact stand. My one gripe is that the knobs that lock the sections into place have to be super tight to be effective. Hand tight pressure doesn’t actually lock these, which is surprising. You really have to wrench on them to get the stand to be locked in place. Disappointing if you’re coming from manfrotto compact stands. Worth it for the price though.

This is a great portable stand to make a lightweight compact kit for location work. This stand allows me to use a smaller rolling case for location work where I just need to be quick and not burdened but weight. I don't think it's the advertised height with legs spread for stability which I figured would be the case for a light weight stand. The height is enough for the typical portraits and location work. I also purchased the smaller one and the regular Flashpoint 9' or 9.5' stand for 29.00 which is taller and stronger for when I want to go higher but still a portable stand.

Great to use with bare speelights, I also use it with Evolv200 and EZ glow hexapop. You cannot beat this product for the price, it folds small to fit in almost any bag.

Portable, well-built, packable stand for speedlights, AD200s and AD360s...nothing heavier if you’re going to extend it. Great for location shoots.

Nice and portable with a wide footprint. Definitely has to be used on a flat even surface. I can't say how sturdy it is for larger strobes but it does well with my smaller evolv 200s.

I ordered this light stand for the size so it could fit in my checked bag for destination weddings while still being able to achieve as much height as possible. I've only used it for one wedding so far, but it was easy to set up, seemed to be of great quality and compacts nicely.

So far so good. The knobs are annoying because they run into each other. But the stand is lightweight but sturdy. Fits in my hiking bag with ease!

I had another well-known brand of nano stand that is about a foot lower than this. That foot really makes a difference. When the feet are flat on the ground, a flash on my old stand fires right into people's faces. With the 8.5' Flashpoint Nano Light Stand, I gain a crucial extra foot of height to go over their heads. And if I don't put the legs all the way flat to the ground I can be about 2 feet over their heads. The 8.5' stand is a bit wobbly at full height (I took off one star), but is acceptable with a low-mass load such as a camera flash/speedlight or a Flashpoint eVOLV 200 R2 (Godox AD200). The portability is excellent since it folds to a short length.

When collapsed you can take it with you anywhere! The only negative thing about this stand is that you have to really screw it tight or the sections won't lock properly

It folds up small and fits in a carry-on bag, hence my purchase. Stand arrived with one of the finger screws and the washer loose and rattling in the box. After I reattached them, I find that this stand is functionally OK but a little frustrating to use in that two of the knobs need to be finger-tightened with CONSIDERABLE hand strength before they stop the stand from telescoping down (collapsing). When you think you've got it, keep turning. It does the job but it's hardly well-engineered / well-manufactured. I only mounted a speedlight on this stand so I know it wasn't the weight...

If you are on a budget and looking for a stand that is light and compact, this is your stand. If you are looking for a stand that takes no effort to lock down and will hold some weight above 6 feet (let's say a Flashpoint Streaklight 360) this not the stand for you. Spend the money and buy yourself a Cowboy Studio or Manfroto version of this stand.

Was excited about the reach of this nano stand. I received it quickly and in great condition. To my disappointment, the top section wouldn't stay up without some serious over tightening. Thankfully, Adorama understood my dilemma and accepted a return with full reimbursement. Guess I'll just stick with the Manfrotto nano. I do appreciate Adorama's customer service.

The nano stand is very compact and durable. I could take it wherever I need to shoot. It's lightweight to carry, yet it's very sturdy and it's made of great quality material. I never enjoyed any stand as much as I'm enjoying this one. The knobs are very easy to turn and has a great grip. I highly recommend this stand.
