What makes the Flashpoint C stands so sturdy and unique is the 'Turtle Base.' Featuring a specially designed sure-locking mechanism, the 'Turtle Base' provides an exceptionally low center of gravity, balancing off-axis gear without tipping (especially when secured with saddlebag style sandbags). Each leg firmly sets to a preset lock position for easy swing set-up and then flat for compact storage or transport and individual legs can be swung to any angle. The staggered curved leg design also allows C Stands to be nested, allowing for several to be used in close proximity. The lower leg can also be slid under many objects, getting into even tighter spaces.

The kit's extension gobo rod arm precisely supports light modifiers, arms, scrims, cantilever flags, gobos or smaller lights, into exact position. The 5/8" diameter arm and Grip/Gobo/KnuckleHead combination can also be used as a short boom, meaning it is tremendously helpful on still-life sets, supporting everything from collapsible reflectors to soup spoons in clamps hovering over cereal bowls. The cast aluminum head design has interlocking facing surfaces to keep a fixed position when supporting accessories on the steel and the jaws open (to a maximum of 1-1/8") to hold rods, dowels and studs. The channel disks pivot around the center tightening handle and are grooved to friction hold firmly.

The C Stand kit features a 10', two-tier spring-loaded riser column with a baby pin on top, removable turtle self-locking base legs, 2 aluminum 3.0" grip heads and a 40" extension boom arm. And it all tucks into a first-class case that transports and protects the C-stands as well as the removable base, arms, and related knuckles, booms, and accessories. Plus, the durable outer shell of woven ballistic 900D nylon exterior resists water with triple-stitched seams and double zippered weatherproof sealing.
