5/8" to 1 1/8" is very handy. It's precisely machined stainless steel and can't be beat

This adapter is well made and a solid hunk of steel. However, the junior side is about a millimeter too big to fit in the junior receiver on any of the Manfrotto combo stands I had. I tried it on the 126BSUAC, 126BSU, 008BUAC, 008BU, and 007BU stands. Manfrotto paints the inside of their receivers, but my other junior adapters fit just fine. Also of note is that the indentation on the baby pin side is too long for Elinchrom monolights to fit and sit straight. The indented portion extends beyond the end of the baby receiver. This is a commmon problem with Elinchrom, and isn't unique to the Flashpoint adapter. Matthews is the only brand I've found that fits it really well. Adorama's return process was quick and painless. In short, if this fits your gear then it's a solid piece of hardware at a great price. If you're using Manfrotto or Elinchrom, you might want to look elsewhere.
