I was not expecting the weight, durability, and stable nature of this product. I've never bought flashpoint stand before, but this rivals any professional stand from manufacturers that charge triple the price. I was amazed when I took out the base and the wheels went in so easily and were so stable. Then I unpacked the column which seemed like the heaviest sea stand I've ever held in my hand. You cannot go wrong with a mobile stand like this. Many of them on this stores site are three to $400 - - for $110. I have to tell you you need to buy this thing if you want a rolling one!

This stand was very sturdy and smooth with my monolight (Flashpoint XPLOR600) and 48in softbox attached to it. I didn't have to use any sandbags to stabilize it during a 5 hour session while I constantly moved it around the set. Not once did it seem like it was going to tip over. The legs are fairly long so it requires space to move around, but in my opinion, it is worth it. I can't comment on the longevity of it yet, but it feels like it has a sturdy build. I prefer this over my Impact version (8.5' with shorter legs) I purchased at a higher cost. I had to use a sandbag to stabilize it with the same setup and lift the sandbag everytime I moved the lightstand. What a pain that was on an 8+ hour shoot.

If you work in a studio or even a volume photographer, these are a GREAT way to set up lighting. the pole extension is a solid build and secures very well (the padding it nice too especially when its a bit chilly). The base rolls effortlessly and locks securely when in use. Sand bags can be placed on the horizontal legs yet you can still roll the stand around for better positioning.

This is a great addition to my studio. The legs are heavy and this is very stable and allows easy movement.

It is a great stand very sturdy . But you need a lot of room the base is very large. It sticks out pretty far and you could bump or trip on it. Great if you have a big space. It will hold a lot and not tip over. But if you are in a small room or tight space I would go with the smaller Flashpoint wheel base.

This is a must have for anyone. Whether you're doing photos of people or products, having a heavy duty c-stand with a rolling base is very convenient. I have no complaints at all with the quality of this stand overall and the price is extremely cheap.

These stands are super-rugged. Once you've used a high-quality light support stand like this, you'll never go back to wimpy stands.

I picked up this sturdy and well-made rolling stand for my 17" production monitor so as to wheel it about on stage floors and the occasional smooth surfaced location. The locking pins for the fold out legs are robust, the swivel action on the castors is smooth, the wheel locks engage/disengage easily and the wheels roll freely. Surprisingly good product for the price.

Good quality product. I had to return it because the leg diameter of 41” is way to wide for my use. It only needs to hold a 27” monitor and be nimble for use on set with lots of other equipment and people.

(For studio use, as it's heavy for location work). Pure perfection shaft. Then goes the wheeled base. I tried the other "turtle base" C-stand with the same shaft. I can't trust the "turtle base". The whole thing is too heavy for the turtle base. The wheeled base that this stand comes with is just too perfect. I do trust it to hold my xplor 600 with 48" Glow deep parabolic with absolutely no problem at all even without sandbag(s). It's that good and that solid. Plus I can move it around studio with my left pinky(with turtle base you need to lift the 50lb off the ground every time you want to move it - good luck)

The shaft on this light stand is the same as a normal C-Stand; only the base is different. If you've used any of the Flashpoint C-stands, then you know what to expect from the shaft: heavy but well built. The base is composed of three flat bars that radiate from the center parallel to the floor. At the end are some good-sized wheels with very effective wheel locks that not only prevent the wheel from rolling but also lock it so it cannot rotate around the mount. When unlocked, the base rolls around easily. There are two big differences between this stand and other rollers, including Adorama's Flashpoint roller. First, this is much less money, especially compared to the "name-brand" stands. Second, because the bars that make up the base are only a few inches above the floor, you can't sandbag this with normal saddlebag type sandbags. If you tried, you'd end up with all your weight on the floor. For the second reason, I don't know that I'd used a gobo arm with much weight hanging off the end.

It is a great stand very sturdy

It is a great stand very sturdy . But you need a lot of room the base is very large. It sticks out pretty far and you could bump or trip on it. Great if you have a big space. It will hold a lot and not tip over. But if you are in a small room or tight space I would go with the smaller Flashpoint wheel base.
Why settle for less when you can have the best of both worlds with the Flashpoint Collapsible Steel Stand with a C-Stand Folding Wheeled Base This 9-foot tall stand is a testament to strength and versatility, capable of supporting up to 30 lbs of equipment, making it an ideal choice for photographers, videographers, and lighting professionals.
Constructed from robust, chrome-plated steel, this single-column, 3-section stand is designed to endure the rigors of any shooting environment. Each section features a reliable twist lock mechanism, ensuring your equipment stays secure and stable at any height up to 9 feet.
But this stand isn't just about strength and stability. It's also about adaptability. With a 5/8" baby stud, it's ready to support not just lights, but any equipment that can be attached to it, offering you a world of creative possibilities.
Comfort and convenience haven't been overlooked either. A foam sleeve provides a non-slip grip and ensures comfortable handling even in cold weather, while a handy clip keeps minor tools like Allen keys and small screwdrivers within easy reach.
The stand comes with a matte black, wheeled base that's compatible with C-stands. This base doesn't just provide solid support for the column, it also offers mobility. Its three lockable caster wheels let you easily move your setup to capture the perfect shot from any angle.
And when it's time to pack up, this stand makes it easy. The base's legs can be folded and locked, and the central column can be unlocked, collapsed, and removed from the base, making transport and storage a breeze.
In short, the Flashpoint Collapsible Steel Stand with a C-Stand Folding Wheeled Base is a sturdy, durable, versatile, portable, and adjustable solution for all your lighting and equipment support needs.
