This is a nice soft box. The first time you put it together can be difficult, but it gets easier. It packs up into a little bag.

First time assembly can be a chore, but after that, the rods a bit easier to deal with. Not easy to set up outdoors if you want to keep it clean, best to set up before a location shoot. Predictable light fall off and feathers well. Nice catchlights. The worst thing is there are no guides for the rods, just a loop and a pocket for the rods to reside, and during assembly they can pop out of the pocket (x8 rods) which can become quite annoying when in a time crunch. My solution was to gaffer tape the rods to their respected places and to leave them there even in storage. Total set up and break down time saver.

All right folks, I am firm believer in putting things in context that would best help people like me. I am relatively new to studio lighting and decided to transition to a softbox. The product took a little getting used to, but once I overcame my fear of breaking it, I was able to put it together. It does take a little effort to put together though, but once you get it, its like riding a bike, you never forget it. Once together it feels firm and definitely not flimsy. But most importantly, the lighting quality is great!
