Took some getting used to but works fine

I really like this head now but it did take some getting used to. It is a bit awkward in feel. I had to use a set of pliers to tighten the tension knob. (the tension knob keeps the head in position once the grip is released). There was no possible way that this could have been done by hand strength alone. I am using it as a studio head. If I were traveling with it, the grip handle might sick out too much and create a space problem in my bag. For the money, it works great.

Sports only!

I'm not sure what went behind this design. The adjustable grip lock is cool, but the whole thing sits on a swivel mount that doesn't lock in place, and is wobbly loose when you bump the camera. It seems like this head would be good for sports photography with the pan of the swivel for following constantly changing action, but horrible for lock down situations. And the grip handle position is awkward, if not just wrong.

Great Value

The pistol grip is super sturdy and easy to use. Mounts well with my canon 50D gripped.

Outstanding product.

A most flexible tripod head. Gives me all of the different options I need and expect in heads that are much more expensive. The ability to mount a second camera to this head is the best yet !!!!!
