Exactly what I was looking for ! I needed something in the event my battery packs were exhausted at a shoot. So excited to get going with my new flashpoint Xplor 600 SE R2 set up. So far I am so glad Larry talked me into giving this whole set up a try. It works so much better than my previous Elinchrom light kit!!

Makes my life a lot easier. It seems to charge the battery also. I like the on off switch but wish it turned on the screen. But you do have to turn it on separately. After a long period of time, like half a day or so the fan comes on and cools the unit down. Haven't had any overheating.

This is great for the studio if I don't want to drain my other battery back. With the charged battery back, I rather use that for location shoots.

Although the battery life for the Explore is very good, it shortens (understandably) considerably when using the modeling light, which comes in handy. This will be a great addition for my tabletop studio work for my main light source, and when using my other Explore for portrait work, increasing the flexibility of my lighting system. I can use the main unit's battery as backup for 2nd light, making the cost of one a/c adapter more economical.

The Flashpoint system is one of my best purchases I?ve ever made. I was using the system using the batteries, but I had an assignment which would be nearly 17 hours long. This is a great accessory if you use Flashpoint battery-powered strobes. I can shoot on 110 volts when available.

Great accessory to convert my xplor 600 to a studio light! This allows me ti use the modeling lamp and shoot as long as u need without the need to recharge batteries. It also allows me to have faster recycling time to capture the moments and poses quickly.

I just received this adapter yesterday and tested it out. It works perfectly. It is very heavy duty so not much to worry about if you should accidentally drop it. It is about 1.5 inches deeper than the lithium battery that came with my Flashpoint XPLOR 600 light but can be sized to fit within the carrying case that comes with the XPLOR 600. My only complaint which applies to both the AC adapter as well as the battery is that they are very difficult to remove from the light. The first time I tried to remove the battery it flew out of my hands onto the floor. You have to slide the release switch and apply upward force on the battery/adapter simultaneously and you need to find a way to do that. It requires 3 fingers of one hand to grab everything and the other hand to apply the upward force. It probably would be easier if you remove the light from the stand however that is impractical and should not be that way.

I have not experienced running out of battery charge while on a shoot that I still have enough power to do some more session. I bought this AC adaptor instead of a spare power pack to ensure, in case I ran out of juice, to instantly power up my AD 600 since charging a depleted power pack is not an option when I am in the middle of a photo shoot. This is the best option in a studio setting where there's an electric outlet but if you shoot a lot outdoors it is prudent to get a spare power pack.

This is a great unit to keep in your bag for shoots! I purchased this because I was worried about my flashpoint 600 running out of batteries during the shoot (6 hours in I still have juice in the pack). When I got home from the shoot I forgot charge the battery and had another shoot in the bag. Needless to say I took out this AC adapter and plugged it into the wall and continued the shoot without worrying about the battery dying on me. It lasted me another 6 hours and I couldn’t have been happier with this purchase!

used it for a 3 day 8 hour gigs where i needed more shots than a battery could provide. Worked perfectly. Can't speak for it longevity since i've only had it for a month. seems pretty solid though.

Ordered this because I was using my XPLOR 600 indoors on a shoot that I wanted to use TTL on and had a lot of portraits to create. Wasn’t sure if the batteries would last long enough for the project so I got this.Worked great. Felt like good quality. Power cord was a good length and of better than average build quality.

I should have bought this a long time ago. I do a lot of indoors and outdoor shooting. I use it while indoors and when ready to step outside I get the fully charged battery and finish up. No more worries.

Great to have when you are indoors and you don't want to use your battery's power. Easily fits in the flashpoint XPLOR 600 case and has a nice long power cord.
