Shopper : Will it work with D200?JENNY-REBEKAH D : It will.KIM W : It should, I use it on a d700 and a d300HARVEY B : It has worked since I purchased it about 15 months ago, or so. As a matter of fact, I'll be using it on a job tonight. There is one drawback. The transmitter takes a 23A 12volt battery. Not a common battery. I recommend taking out the batteries when not in use.

Work well and inexpensive.

I've got several of these. They are inexpensive and do the job. The only issue I have is that the receivers will drain batteries fairly quick and one of mine will not turn off properly so I remove the batteries between shoots.

D800 adaptions to work with RCN1

When connected to the pin connector the camera was not triggered by the device. But by rotating the pin 180 degrees so that it's wire runs along the top of the lens, it then worked well although the camera menu did not recognize it.

Decent product which does work on a D800

Inexpensive option for a D800... Seems to be a fairly cheaply made item and, at least in the case of connecting with a D800, gets the job done... the 10 pin connector will attach onto the D800 in TWO directions, one direction seems to work while the other does not. Also once its set up and working, if the remote wire is moved it sometimes goes into shock and starts taking multiple pictures.. You get what you pay for. Cheap but works well enough for now.

Good Specs - Didn't work on D300s

The specs for the unit were just what I wanted for remote shutter control, particularly being able to use with the Bulb setting. However, after installing the batteries and setting the frequency toggles, and connecting it to the camera - it didn't trigger the shutter no matter what the mode. The remote and base unit communicated with each other. They just weren't talking to the camera. Wondering if it was my D300s I attached an older remote trigger unit (not Flashpoint) and it worked. I returned the unit and asked for a replacement in the hope it was just a defective unit. Just got notice the replacement was on its way.

Flashpoint remote

I took this remote with me on a trip to Zion NP. I did find it very reliable. It stood up well with the many times I used it. I would recommend it for any one short of a pro. The only drawback I found were the switches. They are to small for a large hand.

Good product

I use this remote system in the studio and outdoors and it functions as advertised. It is simple and direct, easy to set up and use with no complicated features to have to worry about. The receiver takes two AAA batteries. The camera shoe-mounted transmitter does, however, take two rather specialized batteries, A-23 12 volt, which you may have to find on-line (one is provided). It will do two simple things, fire a flash or strobe, or trip the camera shutter, including bulb and delay settings (make sure to purchase the right one for your camera). It does not transfer TTL data. It does have multiple transmission channels. So, if you need a quick, simple, bottom line remote which will perform well and let you concentrate on the shot, then this is it. It is easy on the budget and easy to replace if you lose it or break it. I have other Flashpoint equipment in my studio array and they have all performed well.

Excellent value

Great remote for the camera, works reliably , and does what I need - trigger the camera without touching it. Excellent for bulb and mirror up shots. The flash remote I have not used it much, wish it was possible to buy more receivers so I could control multiple flashes. Looks kind of flimsy but it has not given me problems.

"All that and a bag of chips"

I use this for a replacement second shooter (economic crisis) I place my camera(s)on a tripod aim this in a general direction and I am able to capture shots that previously I had to pay someone else to shoot for me. Has great range outdoors, and does not require line of sight.
