For the cost of the product it does what I wanted it to do

I've got several of these. They are inexpensive and do the job. The only issue I have is that the receivers will drain batteries fairly quick and one of mine will not turn off properly so I remove the batteries between shoots.

When connected to the pin connector the camera was not triggered by the device. But by rotating the pin 180 degrees so that it's wire runs along the top of the lens, it then worked well although the camera menu did not recognize it.

Inexpensive option for a D800... Seems to be a fairly cheaply made item and, at least in the case of connecting with a D800, gets the job done... the 10 pin connector will attach onto the D800 in TWO directions, one direction seems to work while the other does not. Also once its set up and working, if the remote wire is moved it sometimes goes into shock and starts taking multiple pictures.. You get what you pay for. Cheap but works well enough for now.

The specs for the unit were just what I wanted for remote shutter control, particularly being able to use with the Bulb setting. However, after installing the batteries and setting the frequency toggles, and connecting it to the camera - it didn't trigger the shutter no matter what the mode. The remote and base unit communicated with each other. They just weren't talking to the camera. Wondering if it was my D300s I attached an older remote trigger unit (not Flashpoint) and it worked. I returned the unit and asked for a replacement in the hope it was just a defective unit. Just got notice the replacement was on its way.

I took this remote with me on a trip to Zion NP. I did find it very reliable. It stood up well with the many times I used it. I would recommend it for any one short of a pro. The only drawback I found were the switches. They are to small for a large hand.

I use this remote system in the studio and outdoors and it functions as advertised. It is simple and direct, easy to set up and use with no complicated features to have to worry about. The receiver takes two AAA batteries. The camera shoe-mounted transmitter does, however, take two rather specialized batteries, A-23 12 volt, which you may have to find on-line (one is provided). It will do two simple things, fire a flash or strobe, or trip the camera shutter, including bulb and delay settings (make sure to purchase the right one for your camera). It does not transfer TTL data. It does have multiple transmission channels. So, if you need a quick, simple, bottom line remote which will perform well and let you concentrate on the shot, then this is it. It is easy on the budget and easy to replace if you lose it or break it. I have other Flashpoint equipment in my studio array and they have all performed well.

Great remote for the camera, works reliably , and does what I need - trigger the camera without touching it. Excellent for bulb and mirror up shots. The flash remote I have not used it much, wish it was possible to buy more receivers so I could control multiple flashes. Looks kind of flimsy but it has not given me problems.

I use this for a replacement second shooter (economic crisis) I place my camera(s)on a tripod aim this in a general direction and I am able to capture shots that previously I had to pay someone else to shoot for me. Has great range outdoors, and does not require line of sight.

Just imagine the convenience and flexibility of controlling your Nikon D70 or D80 camera or studio flash wirelessly from a distance of up to 300 feet. The Adorama RCN2 3-in-1 Wireless Remote Control offers this and much more. This versatile device not only serves as a remote shutter release for your digital camera but also as a trigger for your studio flash, including monolites and accessory camera flashes, from up to 100 feet away.
Powered by a 23A battery for the transmitter (included) and two AAA batteries for the receiver (not included), this wireless trigger ensures uninterrupted operation for your photography sessions. With 16 selectable channels, you can avoid interference from other photographers in the same studio or location, ensuring your shoot goes off without a hitch.
The receiver of this 3-in-1 remote control can be conveniently mounted on an accessory shoe, light stand, or tripod. It also features a hot shoe to accommodate Speedlights. For Speedlights without a hot shoe, a PC cord is thoughtfully included in the package. Additionally, a 3.5mm cord and a 1/4" plug adapter are provided for further compatibility with various Speedlights.
The transmitter, equipped with a hot shoe, can be securely mounted on your camera. In camera mode, the transmitter features a two-position switch. The first position activates the auto-focus and exposure, while the second position triggers the shutter. In flash mode, the first position allows for manual flash triggering. Alternatively, the flash can be synchronized with the camera's shutter when the transmitter is connected to the camera.
Both the transmitter and receiver come with shoes for easy mounting, and a connecting cord for the camera is included in the package. With the Adorama RCN2 3-in-1 Wireless Remote Control, you can take your photography to new heights of creativity and convenience.
