Once in place, these (orange) filters provide a rich, warm complexion for portraits. However! They should have been included in the original package, not an accessory at additional cost. Put them in the box and raise the price.

It's a really good ring light, but it's a much better one with these diffusion cover panels attached.

Once the filters are on, they work well, but honestly, it's not worth the price of $. The product is just not user friendly, and that's me being nice. Flashpoint made this filter system to rely on tension to keep the filters adhered to the light. But obviously, plastic on plastic doesn't provide tension at all! The filter constantly pops off making it nearly impossible to ACTUALLY use the ring light with the filter!

diffuses the light slightly so its not so harsh. the CTO warmed it up a bit too. does what it's supposed to.

i have the 19" LED version. the filters fits fine on them with no issues so far. im not sure what the other reviews are saying that them pop off, i havent had any problems with them. fits perfectly fine.

This light is a great light for even surround lighting on a face or object. It has a good control for brightness. Good quality construction.

I'm currently involved in photographing some high-end artwork -- and it had been difficult trying to get smooth, even lighting across the entire painting frame. Sometimes, I wouldn't recognize the un-evenness of the external lighting until I got home, because different parts of the artwork were lighter and/or darker than others. Arrrgh. The ring light has taken the lighting problem from being the most difficult part of the shoot to being the easiest. Just turn off all other lights and shoot right through the center of the ring. Being a single light source, white balance issues disappeared as well.

The flashpoint 19 inch ring light with the optional colored ringlight covers has shown to be a very useful purchase. It has been only a month since reciept but has been used atleast a dozen times with excellent performance. Most project required the light to be on for an hour and a half minimum time and both intensity aand color of light remained consistant which was a concern from use of a competitors similar product. HOPING THIS PERFORMANCE HOLDS UP GOING FORWARD. Storage in the included carry case has proved valuable because only 2 projects were at home.
