Great DSLR Rig for Film

I purchased the shoulder rig for a short film I will be shooting. It has a very sturdy build along with a nice weight. When used properly, it will definitely reduce the camera shake from your video. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and will certainly buy more of their product.

Excellent quality and definitely stabilizes the camera. I also use a quick disconnect from a tripod for run and gun shots.

Excellent quality and definitely stabilizes the camera. I also use a quick disconnect from a tripod for run and gun shots.

The Flashpoint DSLR and DV Shoulder Rig II with Rails is a modular system that is equally at home on your shoulder for run & gun shots as it is on a tripod, whether you're shooting with a videocam or a DSLR. With dual 15mm carbon rods, across bar, rubberized grips for a sturdy handhold, a molded shoulder pad, baseplate and quick release plate (included), this rig is easy to assemble and configure.

Measuring 19 ¼" in length (not including end stops), the rods can be shortened to 8 1/8 inches by simply unscrewing one section and re-attaching the threaded end stops. The thick, molded shoulder pad is drilled through to accommodate both rods to help stabilize the system.

The baseplate, and the mounted quick release plate, slide easily and can be locked into position anywhere along the two rails. The quick release plate features standard3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 tripod threads, a lock and a one-push button to swiftly remove the camera, while the base plate offers multiple standard threads for mounting the system on tripods or lightstands.

Additional stability andcomfort are provided by the dual, rubberized handgrips that are attached with a cross bar. Thanks to the slide-and-lock design, the grips can be easily adjustedfor the optimal position (width and angle).

With features that rival Redrock Micro and Zacuto, but at a much more affordable price point, the Flashpoint DSLR and DV Shoulder Rig with Rails delivers an
