I went through 2 previous orders of the latest versions of the wireless transmitter, and both were defective. (cracked) I decided to try this older version, and so far, everything works great! It even has an extra hot shoe on top that the others didn't.

It's good if you need the hotshoe or don't care about the TCM feature. I didn't realize it doesn't do TCM so I was slightly disappointed, which knocks it down a star for me, but I'm still going to hold onto it for the future.

Works great for me! Previously I was using a Godox TT350 on the camera to trigger my TT685 and TT600 flashes, but they wouldn't always sync up with each other. I bought this to solve that issue. Before I made the switch to Canon I had an XPro Trigger for Nikon and had no issues, so I figured buying the actual trigger would be a good idea. I think this trigger works great. It syncs up to my flashes without issues so far. I LOVE that it gives an indication of the battery level. It will take some getting used to with the controls being up top and a dial on the bottom and the mode buttons, but it works, so I'm not complaining. The buttons are backlit, which is great for shooting in dark areas. I managed to get bluetooth working between the trigger and my phone. I'll probably never use that feature, but it's nice to have I suppose. I was debating between this trigger and the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II, but I figured I'd probably never use TCM and that is about the only advantage. This trigger does let you scan for a clear channel which is a GREAT feature since most every wireless device nowadays runs on the 2.4Ghz band. Two issues I've seen is that the AF assist light doesn't turn on, but I'm assuming that's a camera setting that isn't right and the new hot shoe quick lock/release is very difficult to disengage. The first time I put the trigger on the camera, I had a very difficult time getting it off. It has since loosened up a little bit, but it seems like pushing the unlock button doesn't disengage the lock so it won't twist back to unlock the hot shoe. After turning it a few times, it feels better, but still doesn't seem to disengage the way it should. I can't speak to the longevity of the device as I've only had it a couple of days, but overall I'm happy with the quality. The battery door seems like it will eventually wear out and not stay on, but we'll see. I am not happy with how Adorama packed it though. They put the regular retail box in a padded mailer that appeared to be vacuum sealed shut and provided basically no padding for the device. When I received the package, the padded mailer was crushed and crumpled and ripped open on one side of the box. The shipping label was barely visible due to the crumpled nature of the mailer. I'm surprised UPS managed to even scan the label. Thankfully, nothing was broken, but I feel Adorama could have packaged it better.

I have had godox systems before and after recently switching to sony I finally got my off camera flash system back up and running. This trigger worked well right out of the box.

This trigger works wonderfully with my Flashpoint XPLOR 600! Has good distance as well. Need to dive deeper into the functions but out of the box, this thing rules!

Works great with my flashpoint AD600! Very easy to use after you read the instructions. I like the fact it has a hot shoe on top if I need to add my camera trigger or flash on top of it.

Bought this because the description says that it will do second curtain sync. The manual says it will do it if it can be set in the camera. Unfortunately, Pentax K1 does not have such a feature in the menu. So I returned it.

Game changer! Wait, I can control the output of my light on the same device that triggers them and they all sync seamlessly!? Sign me up! But seriously, this trigger is awesome and the fact that it has a hot shoe on top where I mouth my wireless tether is genius! The ability to adjust outputs from the camera has improved my workflow significantly.

I prefer this trigger over the pro version, it toggles quickly to the settings that I need and still gives me the option of using my hot shoe. It?s quick lock system is awesome too, nice upgrade from its past edition. I only wish came with a rechargeable battery instead of using up 2 AA batteries. The battery cover isn?t the greatest, and may require tape to avoid losing the cover.
