No Directions but it works.

It works great. At first I did not think it worked. Channels are very weird, so I had to research the internet to figure out how to make the channels match up with my flash. Adorama should really take notice of this issue.

Killer little product!

I had a pair of the original pre R2 Flashpoint flashes...and when the new one's came out with the built in transmitter/receivers, I quickly picked up a couple. Which left me with two great flashes I couldn't use. Until Adorama came out with these nifty little receivers! They are so small and low profile, I love them. And for a whopping $ each I was able to convert my old Flashpoint flashes to work perfectly with my new R2 versions...

Perfect to add R1 slave units to a R2 commander and overall system

Love this R2 receiver! I've put this on my R1 slave units, and now they're able to to be fully remote controllable by my R2 commander flash units. This includes being able to adjust the flash power, as well as turn off the group.

Flashpoint Bridge Receiver for non-R2 Li-on speedlight - works somewhat

Bought to control a non-R2 Li-on speedlight TTL for Nikon from an R2 Li-on speedlight TTL for Nikon. This setup will limit you to only 3 Groups A,B, and C in TTL mode. I think controlling the non-R2 flash should work similarly for an R2 transmitter, except that Groups C and D will also be available (as manual slaves) for TTL. There is no included usage instruction. Configuring the Channel DIP switches for the receiver is not intuitive; look it up on the Adorama web page for the item. Manual mode works well: the slave flash has to be manually set to Manual Power, then any power adjustment from the master flash will be displayed and effected correctly on the slave flash. TTL control doesn't work for me: when set to TTL, the slave flash only fires intermittently; I did verify that radio communication between master and slave flashes was in place by test firing the master flash. I'll be conducting more tests to figure this out and to asses TTL correct exposure.

Fires but not ttl

I can fire the flash using the Flashpoint R2 transceiver but I can not control the output of the li-on flash. It fires but adjusting ttl output plus or minus from the transiver does not work. I have verified the group and channel settings on both the transceiver and the plug in module.

Great except no documentation

There was no documentation with this. First I had to figure out that there was no iTTL with this. Then I had to figure out how the DIP switches match the channel numbers on the Zoom Li-on R2 flash that I was using as the master. The DIP switches are a binary count system, but since there is no channel 0, all switches down (binary 0) is actually channel 1, etc.

Consistent & Reliable

Since purchasing these, to expand OCF creative concepts, the reliability and never fail performance has endeared this set-up to me. I humbly recommend the FP Flash series and accessories, backed by a service from Adorama you can rely and trust.
