Let me be clear... this is not a bad item, but it was a poor choice on my part for my use case. I travel to workshops and shoots, and generally take an Xplor 300 or two for main flash. Suitcase space is a premium, particularly when the airlines are charging more and more for an extra bag. I have the 20 inch version of the parasnap in a different brand and was looking for a larger version of the same item. Let's just say this ain't it. The parasnap folds very flat, has a single motion set-up and is great for tossing in a suitcase for a destination shoot. This one has a mount ring larger than a Bowens and remains a very sizable tube. It also requires clicking each of the rods into position. There's no inner layer of diffusion. On the other hand, the material is nice quality and the rods look like they take take quite a bit of abuse. It would work great if you have a cabinet in a studio to toss it in, or in the trunk of the car for just around town. Any time space is critical, though, this is not the best choice. In my case, the Glow EZ lock softbox in the Xplor 300/400 mount is a much smaller package and substantially lower cost for the same size softbox. Your mileage may vary.

The Glow HexaPop 24" II Octagonal Softbox with OTA Adapter Set and Bowens Mount is amazing! I absolutely love it! Not only is it super cute, but it's also incredibly practical. It fits perfectly on rectangle-head flashes, making it a versatile addition to my lighting kit. The light it produces is soft and flattering, ideal for portraits or on-the-go setups. It's lightweight, easy to assemble, and a fantastic size for portability without sacrificing quality. Adorama was great as always-fast shipping and excellent service. Highly recommend both this softbox and Adorama for all your photography needs!

Okay, I gave it a five star, but if I had a choice, I would give it an 4.5. It's not perfect but it has held up for 3 years and still is going strong. The light quality is good and clean. It would be nice if the back panels would Velcro would be able to reach and close together. Only 2 to three, but on the other hand, that would be better ventilation. Enough with the whining, For your first soft-box it is a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest to buying it, especially, if its your first light modifier.!!! Buy it!!!

Product itself is great quality but the website description could have been more clear to alert customer that in order for product to work you need to purchase additional mechanisms that do not come with it. Picture of item is very deceiving.

I regret purchasing this softbox. The rods are supposed to go into pockets in the corners but 3 of the 4 corners are completely sewn on what appears may possibly be intended to be a pocket. One of the corners has a pocket with a piece of velcro which opens and allows for the rod to be inserted from the outside and then the velcro can be folded over to make a pocket.

Using this in studio and have it attached to a 500ws mono light for tabletop work. Light spread and flatness of light is very good. Large sized box would be great to use for model work too.

Hard too assemble it till learn the trick to it. Does the job well. Hard to connect ring part to the light attachment. I have it set all the time,but if you're going to set it on and off,on and off all the time will sticks gets bent/curved.

This softbox was hard to put together, didn?t come made right so I couldn?t even get the rods in. Was not able to test it working. Adorama did a fantastic job with customer service to get my products returned due to the defect.

A better use for fill light than a standard reflector. This is a very sturdy and firm softbox. Perfect size for the job.

Just as advertised but a pain to assemble! If you have the room assemble and leave in a corner until ready for use. Sturdy construction. Does not come with any strobe bracket or mounting of any kind. Remember to order separately!

FOR THE PRICE, this is a great bargain. I've only had mine a couple of months, so don't know how it will hold up over the long run. I am a full time commercial photographer, so my equipment gets used regularly. The one issues I had, is that when it's mounted on my bowen's speed rings, the stretch of the fabric is so tight, that the velcro flaps that close up the back would not fully close, one or two of them wouldn't close at all. A friend ripped out and restitched the velcro so there would be more area of contact, but it just shows what you get from a $60 product vs. a $300+ product. :-)

Small and efficient. Note it does not come with a speed ring. Buying a Bowens mount almost doubles the purchase price. Overall good buy.
