Seems like a nice small soft box for product photography. The ball is weak and hard to get to stay put. Also I have a hard time keeping the box mounted on the ring as it easily slips off. Guess I'll keep it as a spare. Too much hassle to return it for $ You get what you pay for......

I have two of these units and can use them with either my Canon 580 flashes or my Alien Bee strobes. By just removing the camera mount from the ring, it fits the Alien Bees. The light size I find is ideal for all my portrait sittings, giving a nice soft edge shadow.

this is not the best quality product but is ok this makes the work done for easy, simple and cheap setting. the real bad thing is the shoe mount ball head that is weak cheap made.

This is a great product, as long as you take the time to plan ahead. Had I gotten it and planed to use it right out of the box I would have been very disappointed. I use a Canon Speedlite 550EX, which on it's own would have been great. But I also trigger with either a Phottix Ares or PocketWizard TT5 (depending on the situation). Adding a hot shoe radio trigger made it difficult to get the flash to mount properly, I ended up facing it 90 degrees off to make the radio trigger fit and turning the flash into the box. Not ideal, but it works.

This 16 x 16" Softbox is designed to be used with a Shoe-mounting Flash.
Converts flash from a harsh directional light into a much softer diffused light.
Folds flat for easy storage.
