This is exactly what I needed!

I covered the Operation Migration arrival of 5 Whooping Cranes to St. Marks NWR in sub-freezing weather and was comfortable wearing these great gloves. Previous gloves either left all finger tips open or with the removable mitten end, left the mitten tip to get in the way. With this product I only removed the thumb and index finger, as needed, and never missed a shot! I even bought another pair and gave as a gift.

So warm!

It was 12 degrees yesterday,I went out shooting wildlife, the glove kept my hands warm and was very easy to get my fingers in & out to work the camera controls. The tab that you pull to get your finger out could be a little longer, but this is no biggy!

Ideal for winter

It's quite straightforward: these gloves come handy when you need to go out to take photographs in the cold weather. The gloves have wrist strings, so that you can pull them off quickly and let them hang on your wrist. The material is neither leather nor textile, it feels like synthetic burlap, and I mean it in a good way. Solid and reliable. These gloves are warm. I give them 5 stars. Women may want to go with the smallest size. I have large hands, but the medium size worked out slightly too large for me.

Good gloves for outdoor shooting

It is not flashpoint product actually. It is made by Matin, which is a Korean company that made photography accessories. The gloves are warm enough for temperature above -15 centi. Its design is really interesting. The palm side is thin, which provides easy control, and the back side is warm and thick. The finger cap is a great idea.

Good not Great.

I used the gloves today as I went out for some street photography. I ended after an hour, as my other fingers went numb. They are not the warmest of gloves when the finger flaps are covering your fingers. Maybe it was that cold today, I'll need to test them again though.

Coldest gloves ever made

The design is great and I had high hopes. These were well rated but I should have listened to the reviewer that said they were cold. COLD they were! I wore them once and sent them back! If they could make a better glove with this same design but use better insulating materials I'd be very happy. If you usually have cold hands anyway DON'T buy these to keep you warm.

it doesn't work in cold weather

this glove did provides tactile sensation during shooting. But it has its limitation in wet and cold environment.

Beautifully crafted product!

Used for late fall sports photography. Excellent fit and construction -- allows thumb and forefinger of each hand to be exposed for manipulation of shutter release, camera dials, and lens zooming/focusing. Probably not warm enough for the depths of winter, but provides outstanding protection when it's moderately cold and/or windy.

Flashpoint finger shooting glove...

This shooting glove will keep your hands warm and comfortable through cold temperature. It converts to fingerless gloves simply by tilting your thumb and index finger backwards.
