Didn't wont to spend a lot of money, until I got a feel for these devices and what could do. Good device for someone just starting out.

The unit was on sale so I couldn't pass it up. The unit is made to stabilize video as you walk around with your camera. I believe the only way to get absolutely steady video is with a tripod or a much more expensive stabilizing unit . . . however this unit will make your home videos look better once you get the hang of it.

Right off, this thing does NOT hold 3lbs. On the box it even says it only handles up to 2.1lbs. 0.9lbs makes more of a difference than you'd think. This would be great for a mirrorless camera with a light lens, a light camcorder, and maybe a DSLR with a tiny lens. It barely balances my Canon 60D with a small 50mm lens. That being said, the construction feels good and sturdy. I'm sure this will be useful after I crazy glue some washers to the counter weight.

This is my first stabilizer so I don't have experiences to compare to but this does what I want it to do. Im not sure if I have it perfectly balanced but its easy to balance to stabilize your shots. Not for fast movements

Easy to use. Set and go. What's great about the flashpoint? Fast and steady footage.

was going to build my own, but after searching online I found this setup for a fraction of the price as some of the other pro glide cams..works perfect for my DSLR and my GoPro2

Poor design. Not easy to adjust and balance. Gimbal is not very smooth, so it's not effective for stabilizing small movements. If you shoot while walking, it's better than handheld.

It takes a little practice to get good results.
