I've had limited opportunity to use this tripod outside, but construction and features seem great. The ball head locks very easily, and the carbon legs are stout. The overall weight is very light, and it's much more solid than the cheap "mart" tripods I've purchased over the years. I'm excited to pair it with my Leupold 12-40x60 spotter as nothing I've used prior to this was built well enough to smoothly track animals, etc. My only concern is that I may have to use a weight to keep the tripod properly "grounded" if it's windy. Seems very well mad.

This is, by far, my favorite tripod. I have been using FotoPro tripods for over three years now, and when I started using the X-Go series, I was blown away at how amazing it is. Super lightweight, yet incredibly durable. I have used them in all types of weather and climate, from storm chasing to the blazing desert to the frozen Arctic tundra, and I have never had a problem. Three years and 300,000+ miles across North America, and I very lucky to have had FotoPro tripods with me the whole time. Highly recommended!

I just finished a 2 week trip and this tripod was extremely helpful because of it's light weight and good strength. I also liked the big s hook for holding a weight bag in the wind. Definitely a winner Phyllis W.

Having spent the last 3 months travelling and carting this tripod around, it has stood the test of all the airline baggage handlers. It is lightweight and easy to use and having it be able to convert to a mono-pod makes a big difference too.
