Great investment

By Garvin R.

This is my first investment into a good tripod and it's money well spent. Coming from a cheap tripod, this is more than worth the money spent on the upgrade. The sturdiness makes it trustworthy to hold my 5dmark3 even with an 85mm 1.2 lens.

My first carbon fiber tripod

By STEVE S.

Very sturdy and lightweight. Twist locks for legs are easy to use and solid. Quick release plate works great, very fast to attach camera/lens to tripod. Ball head is easy to use and stays where you lock it down. Large hook on bottom of center column works great; it's big, and metal. Ability to use just one leg as a monopod is a great feature. I've been using this tripod outside a lot and really glad I bought it vs. a more expensive brand.

The X-Go Max is a compact carbon fiber tripod that's made for the outdoors. It can convert between a tripod and monopod within seconds. It includes the FPH-62Q ball head and is the perfect lightweight, sturdy and compact tripod for travel.

Good Tripod, won't switch from mine yet

It seems to be quite sturdy, I'm still worried about the effect of twisting over long-time usage, though. The plate's lock gets hard to reach under the camera body but not to an extreme level, just uncomfortable. The manual could use some proof-reading, its English is far from perfect but not to the point of being unusable. The monopod seems cool, comes with its bag, too and operating the whole thing is pretty simple. Just remember to tighten everything first, mine came completely loose in...

Awesome tripod!

By Brandon S.

Great tripod for the price! The 1/4 turn legs are nicer and more precise than the cheaper tripods I have used in the past, quick attach mount is rock solid, ball movement is smooth, and built in bubble levels aid in a quick setup. The built in monopod is also handy in certain situations where you need to be even more mobile or in tight spaces. Highly recommend it for a well built tripod at a good value.

A must have gear

By JESSE O.

This is the gear I have waiting too long to get. I was using an old camera tripod for years. I keep saying I needed a lighter and easy to use tripod. I’ve seen similar style but never bought it. Until I find this one on Adorama, (so glad I bought it). I took this product on a couple recent trips. My thoughts: Awesome! The light weight does not fatigue me more from an already heavy gear bag. The carry bag allows me to sling it across my shoulder when not in use, if I’m not using it for a while or have a long ways to walk. I am able to setup within less than a minute. The different setting allows me to easily dial in the exact position needed for a perfect shot. It feels sturdy and solid. I did try the monopod but, found the tripod was more desirable for my needs. I plan to take this on every trip and future photoshoots. I am so glad I bought this. I also plan to buy another one to add to my son’s gear. If you need a tripod or been looking for one, I suggest this product.

Well made without breaking the bank!

By MONICA R.

Very easy to adjust while in position. Sturdy if not extended to full range however attaching the bag on the hook resolves any fears. Light and the provided case is sturdy . Had it in the ocean and it cleaned well. Very pleased with the purchase especially in light of the sale price I got it for!

Great product!!

By John M.

This tripod is much lighter than my old one. Seems to be well built and very sturdy. It folds very oddly, but takes some getting used to. I would recommend it very much. Quick shop and service by Adorama as always!

AMAZING!

By Ult V.

This is, by far, my favorite tripod. I have been using FotoPro tripods for over three years now, and when I started using the X-Go series, I was blown away at how amazing it is. Super lightweight, yet incredibly durable. I have used them in all types of weather and climate, from storm chasing to the blazing desert to the frozen Arctic tundra, and I have never had a problem. Three years and 300,000+ miles across North America, and I very lucky to have had FotoPro tripods with me the whole time. Highly recommended!

Great quality and sturdy

By joel m.

Very sturdy and has worked well so far. I have never used a ball-head so it’s a definite upgrade from my previous Tripod.

Great travel tripod / monopod for the $

By Jake F.

I'm a fan of this setup and it's predecessor. It's a great value for a landscape travel tripod. Sets up quickly and packs down relatively small. Light enough to carry into the backcountry when I know I'll be photographing the night sky.

Awesome Tripod

By Wally M.

I was really impressed with the built quality of this tripod. I wanted to upgrade from the aluminum manfrotto befree tripod to a carbon fiber so I did my research and there weren’t that many reviews for this tripod but I’m glad I still purchased it. The carrying bag alone was really impressive even though I won’t be using it but the material feels really nice. The tripod is really solid and I felt like I got my money’s worth. As if that wasn’t too good to be true, a week after I purchased this tripod, there was a sale so I called Adorama customer service and let them know and they happily credited me the $ with no questions asked. Excellent product and excellent customer service.
