 The Flashpoint Heavy Duty L Dual Shoe Bracket  has the unusual design of 2 standard shoe mounts at 90  angles, allowing two items, one on top and one on the side, for lights and other accessories to be mounted without interfering with each other. Great for supporting DSLR's and camcorders on this heavy duty bracket with a wide variety of accessories, like microphones, remotes and LED lights, on either shoe. The position of the shoes is intended to serve cameras both vertically and horizontally and to keep the whole setup the light side, while liberating your on camera hot shoe. The flexible rubberized and molded grip is comfortable to use and the exceptionally lightweight bracket will not tire your wrist even when equipment is held for long periods of time. Your camera is secure via a 1/4" x 20 thumbscrew and remains stable on the ridged platform and accepts a male 1/4" x 20 screw.  A simple flash bracket allows you to move your external flash away from the lensoptical axis for better lighting and to prevent the dreaded "red eye".

Not crazy about the aluminum threads of the attachment wheel to camera/ tripod shoe. Would prefer steel.  Also, this bracket was coated with an oily, burnt smelling chemical substance that would not wash off. It made my hands smell weird after I handled it and smelled like a solvent of some kind.  Not great.

Just what I needed

I’m a professional hybrid shooter and this bracket comes in so handy whether I put a light, mic, or monitor on it. Great value, great product. Don’t over pay for something like this at Best Buy or anywhere else!

Extremely useful

Great versatility. I just wish it was 1-1/2 longer. Recommend if you use a shotgun mic and a led light for shooting.

It's a great product for the price. the only thing I don't like is the camera wobbles a bit when I connect the camera & bracket to a tripod.

Inexpensive & Efficient

This item is fairly well built for basic use. The only weakness is the glue used to hold the rubber seat along the bottom edge is not very durable. This rubber seat will come off rather easily. A little rubber cement or contact cement will quickly fix the problem if needed. In my use of  the bracket as part of a rig, the rubber seat was not needed so, no harm no foul.

Basic but fuctional

It's exactly what I needed since my camera doesn't have a hot shoe.  I use it attach a light & an external microphone.  It's a sturdy piece of equipment.

Perfect addition for live music performance videos

I needed this to allow more clearance when using wide angle lens with a mic. The nob is threaded so you can mount it to a tripod, nice option.
