These'll work. Do I sound enthusiastic?
There are three gripes I have with these, but none of them are deal killers.
First, the threaded portions on the knobs are so short it's a little too easy to completely unscrew them. It really doesn't take many turns.
Second, the knob for the Arca-Swiss base suffers the same problem, but if you unscrew it too far the clamp will fall apart. There are a couple of springs inside that could get lost. Those A-S bases are pretty cheap, so I may replace them.
The last thing is the ball and socket, and there are two sub-problems here. First, the movement of the ball isn't all that smooth. I found a small hex screw that could be loosened that would free up the ball, letting the main locking knob keep it in place. (Of course the hex screw could work its way loose and be lost.) The second thing is that the main body of the ball mount spins too easily, repositioning the locking knob where you may not want it.
Again, these are usable but I wouldn't buy them again. This is the price you pay when you try not to pay the price (for better items). Buy them if you're on a tight budget, but if you have a few extra dollars to spend go with something better.

Great clamp for reasonable cost.
I use this clamp mainly for putting my speedlite on my light stand. It works great. But I've also used it for placing my flash on guardrails, tree limbs, tables, chairs, and just about any place I want to place my flash. Great item. I have 3 of them. One for each flash.

Clamp Thingy
This is it ... This makes attaching a Nikon SB-600 and a 3'x5' Flashpoint Soft-box, to my C-Stand, really, really simple.
It is the piece that makes it all work.
Works great, is well built, and it WORKS. That easy.

Off Camera flash event photography
I used these guys and clamp all my flash around the tent from a wedding event.. It work well and didn't fail me. Yes it, holds my sb910's.
