It does the job, you just have to put a little muscle into it.

This works for my use case. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the horrible smell of gasoline coming from it.

Strong and dependable. I've already used it twice to hold tube lights. Held strong yes grip was gentle enough to not damage the lights. A baby pin isn't included.

This clamp is much bigger than I expected. Super strong.

These are da bomb. Colored ones are nicer than the standard black. I like the feel of the material more, and they really stand out against my black stands.

I have several of these for use with lighting and audio. They work very well and are easy to handle.

Good strong and versatile. Use it on a light stand to hold my xplor 600 so I can attach the extension head with a modifier on the top of the stand.

Good chunky superclamp equivalent in some different color options . Seems just as good as expensive Manfrotto on first impressions. However, just like the Manfrotto its very easy to loose the plastic wedge attachment (used for gripping flat surfaces).

If you are serious about lighting, you’ll need at least ONE of these. I use it with a Noga Hold-It Arm to turn virtually anything into a light stand or camera tripod.

I thought I'd try the Adorama Super Clamp. I own two Manofrotto clamps but I really liked the blue color and the price was much less so I ordered one. It looks and feels every bit as sturdy as original and seems slightly heavier. Both clamping levers are larger. The jaw spring is stronger than original and arm locking pin locks and releases fine. It comes with two adapters, one for flat surfaces and another that I'm not sure what its does. The only difference I noticed (not significant ) was that large jaw clamping lever isn't as smooth when tightening , might be that large washer is sliding over new paint where as the original might be powder coated or, the higher jaw spring tension, not sure. The washer on Flashpoint clamp is painted and the Manfritto washer is bare. I use my clamps to attach a remote camera on top of chain Link fence at baseball fields and now I can spot the camera easier from across the field, gotta always keep an eye on my gear. Lastly, I would purchase another, no regrets so far.

These clamps worked great for allowing me set up strobes in a High School gym to photograph basketball games.

It looks similar, but slightly different to more expensive clamps. All the important parts are painted metal and it functions just like a more expensive clamp.

Performs exactly as described. A solid clamp that opens a lot of possibilities for creative lighting.

The wide mouth for the clamp has worked well for most areas to bite on to. The mouth of the clamp could extend a bit farther or have more reach. Great idea for both sized female stud mounts generally found on photographic products.

The Flashpoint Super Clamp can be used to mount lights and accessories on virtually any bar, rail, divider, pole, or beam. This makes it an essential element of every photographer's kit, either as a primary grip item, or a backup emergency option. The possibilities to add mounting points anywhere are endless!
Here are just SOME of the many things you can do with this versatile tool:
Mount 2 lights on one stand
Mount strobes on pipes or pillars to avoid using stands
Mount an arm holding a video monitor to a tripod leg
Mount long poles to create large camera and lighting rigs
Mount lights on top of doors
Mount a ballhead on a railing at your favorite scenic spot to get spectacular landscapes without bringing a tripod
Mount a camera arm on any stable structure to shoot overhead and tabletop work
Mount an LED panel on a ceiling
Mount a camera to a vehicle, bicycle, or other conveyance
Mount a POV camera
Mount a background pole
The clamp has rubber grips on the jaws to protect the mounting surface and improve traction, and it includes a triangle wedge for mounting the clamp on flatter surfaces such as beams. The stud opening features a hexagon shape to allow for mounting anti-twist studs, as well as a safety catch for stud release. There are two holes in the jaw cavity that are a pass-through for joining two together for grips at right angles. The options are infinite!!!
