Fantastic little piece, it?s solid metal with all parts perfectly machined.  The contact needles from the flash don?t reach it so no worries about shorting anything out.

Works and I like the red knob... easy to find.

Red knob easy to see

Knob was black, not red, and shaped differently. When I unscrewed it too much the tiny springs flew out of the middle and I had to figure out how to reassemble it. Once I figured it out, I worked, but directions would have been helpful.

Coldshoe Mount

Not a whole lot to say, it is what it is, the only thing that stands out is it did not come with the red knob as shown in the picture. Minor issue for me personally, but could be a bigger issue for someone who specifically wants it for that.

a good replacement for oem

Smaller video cameras require an LED FILL LIGHT & a WIRELESS
RECEIVER mounded above or near the camera. So, typically at least
"2 COLD SHOES" are required to enable this rig.

Cold Shoes give small cameras more production utility.

Nice made the only thing is the lower nob but I fix one flash bracket and make another one very useful.

I've bought similar mounts in the past, usually for about twice the price of this one and while they are OK, this one beats them all. The red clamping knob is just the right size to enable a good grip for secure tightening. I highly recommend this, especially for the price. One of those true good values.

Well Made

This is just what I needed! I bought it with my flashpoint light stand and it has a nice grip to my flash and is super strong. If I have to purchase anything else for flashes regarding mounts, it'll be this one without a seconds hesitation.

The device is delivered with a stud on the bottom that is not shown in the picture. With a large vice, a large set of vic grips, and some effort I was ablt to remove the stud. It now works fine. But is would have been better if it had been useful "out of the box".
