These are great. I needed to replace round ones to keep my lights from spinning. They worked perfectly!

This should be the standard design for EVERY stand on the market. Makes zero sense for a rounded design when a flat edge puts less strain on your lights to hold them in place.

Solid and well built. Always have a few on hand on any set.

It does what you want it to do. Nice to have for the flashpoint super clamps. Can't have too many of them. Their like light stands, never too many.

The stud is of high quality. Having different sized stud on each end could add flexibility IF the Flashpoint articulating arm that I'm using this with also has different sized female socket on each end. Unfortunately, the articulating arm has only one socket (3/8") and the other end is solid, which goes into a super clamp.

Flared heads to prevent fall off. Flat edge to prevent spinning. Solid metal. It's all you could hope for in the perfect spigot.

I have tons of spigots & adapters I use for on location and studio work. These spigots with the flat edge are new to me & I truly love how they prevent lights & modifiers from spinning. They're especially useful when using a boom and there's additional torque at the attachment point, which typically results in a spigot spinning and even becoming damaged (those deep groves in your spigot from rotation under a load). Both sides of this double sided spigot have a flat edge.

I have ordered these studs several times. The last order being 12/28/2017. I recently used these studs and found that they are not the same as my old studs. The bottom diameter of the stud above the 3/8" stud is larger than the old studs I purchased. What is the problem you ask? The new studs with the now larger diameter do not go completely into all of my light stands and can not be used with those light stands. All the studs I am referring to are labeled exactly the same stating "Flashpoint FPXSP01" This is inconvenient as I have to insure that I utilize the newer studs with light stands that fit both the older and newer studs.
