This advanced preamplifier integrates eight of Focusrite's classic mic preamps, each equipped with Lundahl LL1538 transformers on every input for superior sound quality.
Each channel of the ISA 828 MkII offers the flexibility of mic or line inputs, with the first four channels also featuring front panel instrument inputs for added convenience. The variable input impedance on each mic pre provides a spectrum of subtly distinct sonic options, including the 'ISA 110' setting that mirrors the impedance of the original Focusrite mic pre.
Experience the power of up to 60dB of gain, complemented by an additional +20dB of continuously variable trim. This combination delivers an impressive 80dB gain range, ensuring optimal audio performance. The preamplifier also features a high-pass filter with a fixed 75Hz frequency and an 18dB/octave roll-off.
The ISA 828 MkII is equipped with high-pass filters, calibratable per-channel, six-segment LED meters, and switchable rear-panel insert points. These features facilitate the use of inline processors such as compressors or EQs. The dedicated connectors for mic and line-level inputs allow for simultaneous connection of all sources, making the ISA 828 MkII an ideal choice for permanent rack installation.
The updated power supply in the ISA 828 MkII ensures efficient power consumption, reduced heat generation, and exceptionally reliable operation. The optional ISA ADN8 analogue-to-digital expansion card offers eight Dante, ADAT, and AES3 outputs at rates of up to 24-bit/192kHz.
Included with the ISA 828 MkII is the exclusive Brainworx bx_console Focusrite plug-in. This software faithfully captures the sound, feel, and styling of the original Focusrite ISA 110 Equalizer and ISA 130 Dynamics Modules, enhancing your audio production experience.
