Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) is compact and excellent interface. My kid started using it for electric guitar recording connected to mac and headphone. It makes it so easy to move around with great performance. I looked around for this Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) in few other sites. This bundled package from Adorama was cost effective as I was also looking for a decent Microphone and a stand. Overall good value deal.

Fantastic sound quality. The "air" modification makes the highs so nice and crisp. Super simple, and reliable so far. Low enough latency for live stuff like Jamkazam too. Has enough oomph for a dynamic stage mic like the sm57 but at my desk I've mostly been using a condenser mic with the phantom power from this audio interface, and that works well too. I just wish it had built in mount points so I could bolt it down - it's so small and light I keep pulling it around with my headphones.

I bought it to bring a pro mic into my laptop for better zoom presentations. As I already had a mic and mic stand, this was a great way to up my game for zoom lectures/presentations. It has also proved useful for recording voiceovers for video projects. Has both XLR mic as well as line level inputs. There is phantom power for those who need. I wish it could boost the gain a bit more. Also, the software interface to select the channel being brought into the computer is a bit counter intuitive, but once you understand it, it works fine. Really solid product.

for the price this is really hard to beat. I don't recommend the bait and switch software that comes with it. Says FREE but its not and got a virus that had to be removed from one of them. The software has attachment that automatically down load when the program is installed.

This was my first step in learning how to record my electric classical guitar. I found it simple to use and was surprised how good it sounds with just the guitar plugged in. I ordered a Shure Mic to to add to it. of course If you want to use two Mics I suggest you buy the one with two Mic inputs. I found Adorama less expensive than Amazon with fast shipping.

I bought this product for my online music class, and so far is has worked very well. It was pretty easy to set, but I would suggest giving yourself 30 minutes to an hour to do the whole set. There are a few applications that need to be installed on to your computer. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family if they ever need one.

Just wished the instructions that came with it were more step by step putting the whole system together. The only “instructions “ were with the Scarlet Solo... not the entire package of items to set it logically up. :-(

Honestly at first I thought it would be difficult to set up but to my surprise it was very simple. Plug and play at it's finest. I mainly use mine to stream with it and if you are doing so to, I would totally recommend this to you!

There's a reason focusrite is a leader in USB audio interfaces. It's got a solid metal outer shell, clean audio, and everything you need for recording and great preamps. Only wish the xlr had the option for an additional balanced trs input like other interfaces.

Included software and drivers are very finicky, they caused my computer to boot loop until a system restore from a prior restore point. I found it best to not use the software at all as it doesn't add very much. When the device actually is working, it works very well, and the build quality is pretty great.

Really, really user-friendly & easy set-up guidelines. Their website walks you through every step and makes everything really clear. Within a day I'm all set up on ProTools First & recording guitar and vocals! Definitely recommend this product.
