This is a great backpack that I'm using for a month-long class. I use it to carry a few books/notebooks, a water bottle, and snacks. The backpack is very comfortable to wear and I like the casual yet classic look. I bought mine secondhand and do think the full price of > $100 is a lot for the simplicity of the bag. There's only one pocket (two including the laptop sleeve) and I'm considering buying the Kankan organizer to use with this backpack.

I got it for flying on an airline with small size requirements. It did not work well for me as a travel bag however... probably because I hated the buckles. I thought they were hard to open. I was constantly fighting to get them unhooked. I would not use it again for flying. The good: keeps the rain out and everything dry inside. The straps are comfortable. The fabric is strong. You can definitely stuff a lot of things in the bag.

I bought this specifically for my work laptop and documents and it's the best backpack I've ever had honestly. Stylish and durable and I've gotten so many compliments on it.

I received this a gift approximately 2 years ago and absolutely love it!  It's the perfect size and weight for a day hike and when I am not hiking, it's a perfect size for my laptop and papers.  After a couple of years usage, I noticed the strap starting to tear so I popped into the Calgary store and had It repaired by Svetlana.    She did a quick and perfect job and was super friendly, even sold me on a touque before I left the store!   .

I bought this back in 2015 as a school bag. In the last 6 years, I've used it pretty much every day for school and university, carrying heavy books and a laptop. I've just graduated uni and it's still holding up great! One of my best purchases ever <3

The size, the shape and the material (waterproof and lightweight) is perfect for everyday use. It's also pretty comfortable, even if I carry heavy stuff it doesn't seem as heavy as it was with other bags. It can be worn with sporty and more elegant clothes as well. The folding solution isn't the most practical, but it's really good for those who commuting on the train or bus (thief secure). Simple but great!

The backpack is amazing for it's simplicity. Super heavy duty fabric that can take whatever you can throw at it and is very water resistant, have been caught in a few downpours in it and my belongings stayed dry.

The material is amazing, there is a ton of room. The straps are comfortable and adjustable with enough room to spare. I love this bag! I have a ton of Kankens and I love them but the straps don't adjust big enough for it to sit the way I want them to, but this one does. In love! I can't wait for the dhalia color to come back so I can get that one too! I got the dark garnet and it's beautiful!

Got this as a backup for the classic Kanken, but it turns out this one is the clear winner for everyday use. Fits the 15" laptop (which I guess actually measures 15.75", which the Kanken 15"does not fit.. Who knew), and has the right usability for commuting on the train or bus (flap deters pilfering!).
