The box is made from archival-grade fiberboards that are acid-free and devoid of harmful substances like lignin, ground wood, sulphur, or recycled chipboard. It's designed to provide long-term conservation for photographic materials.
The drop front design refers to the bottom section of the box, which opens from one long side, allowing for easy and gentle removal or insertion of prints. This design minimizes potential damage to the prints during handling.
The Dual Chemistry feature refers to the box's unique design, where it has an Alkaline buffered exterior for added protection against environmental factors, and a neutral non-buffered interior, separated by a polyester barrier, for maintaining the integrity of your prints over time.
While these boxes are specifically designed for the long-term storage and conservation of photographic materials, they can also be used to store other items of similar size that need protection from environmental factors.
The metal reinforced corners enhance the box's longevity and resilience, providing an extra layer of protection against wear and tear, and ensuring that the box retains its shape over time.

I’ve bought a number of Lineco “museum storage boxes” from Adorama. They’re described as “archival quality” and are the best-made boxes I’ve ever had. They are quite rigid and can hold a full load of 8x11 or larger photographic prints without bending or twisting. The covers have strong smooth metal corner reinforcements and they fit snugly, yet are easily removed and replaced; the box bottom has reinforcements on its two rear corners. These boxes are as good or better than those sold by traditional archival supply houses and far less expensive. Just remember to be clear when requesting the box size. My 8.5x11 prints needed, not the 8.5x11 box, but the 9x12 box that allows the prints to be easily inserted and taken out in bulk.

These are standard print boxes for storage. I find the selection of various sizes to be excellent - you will find exactly the size you are looking for.
