The ODS Classic is the culmination of nearly two decades of customer feedback and Andy Fuchs' relentless pursuit of perfect tone. Available in both head and combo formats, this amplifier features 2 x 6L6 50-Watt and 4 x 6L6 100-Watt versions, complete with a half-power switch. Its fan-cooled aluminum 17" chassis echoes its predecessor, offering a compact, manageable weight that's perfect for musicians on the go.The ODS Classic boasts dual gain boosts, offering two distinctive voices that, when combined, more than double the available gain range. The brite switch offers two operating points for a subtle shine or a more aggressive high boost, adding clarity and midrange push to your tone. The three-position EQ switch offers a more gainy and punchy rock style EQ, a gain boost that bypasses the tone controls, and a smoother, more jazzy studio style EQ. The clean channel topology is a refined version of the original ODS, while the overdrive channel retains the same great drive channel that made the original amps a success, with some new enhancements for a broader sonic palette.The ODS Classic also features the same great Spin Semiconductor digital reverb as designed by Keith Barr of Alesis fame, offering variable decay and level controls, and a tube mix stage for warmth and smoothness. The rear panel remains virtually unchanged from the original amp design, featuring a universal AC power input plug, power and standby switches, 4-8-16-ohm outputs for speakers, a half power switch, and the all-tube Fuchs effects loop.The ODS Classic is a reliable, professional-grade amplifier that combines modern high-grade PC board construction with classic hand wiring. All PC boards are high-quality fiberglass boards, with 2-oz copper, silk screen, and solder mask, and premium parts.
