My wife simply empties the bag into the trash when full.( a few bags are supplied with it). Compared to other brands that have this much shredding power it is one of the quietest.FRED R : I have a smaller unit which works without a bag though I use plastic shredder bags which I bought from Fellowes on the internet to keep things neater. I wouldn't say the unit is particularly noisy nor is it particularly quiet. But it works well and serves my needs.STEVE V : The shredder does not require a bag It is not any quieter with a bag. Just easier to get rid of what you shred PHUC H : Doesn't require a bag but its much cleaner with one and they do give you some trash liners in the box. NATASHA S : no bag required although it would be easier to carry out the shredded material with one in the receptacle. I don't use one and just dump the contents of the receptacle out when full. I highly, highly, highly recommend it!

Newly purchased shredder

The red warning light and the fact it won't start shredding when too many papers are put in is awesome. Too many times our old shredder would get jammed and whoever did it just left it that way. Very frustrating. I can't say anything about durability or recommend yet since it is brand new.

Powershred® 125i 100% Jam Proof Strip-Cut Shredder

The Jam Proof on the shredder is ok but even if you guessed how many papers you should put through it still jams and spits it back out.

Disappointment

Does not shred small enough. It's noisy It is not easy to roll around, but top heavy and bulky Would not purchase again or recommend
