My husband and I are very pleased to finally own a shredder. This particular shredder is an affordable small business purchase and was easy to set up and use right away out of the box. We are very much looking forward to how it withstands time and usage. So far our first bag of shredded material has not caused any problems and we will certainly recommend this product to other individuals.

Could it be that this model is close to retirement? When clicking on "Personal Shredders", this model is not included. Actually, you have to click on Powershred 12C, scroll down, and you see a list of shredders in the sub category. Another indication is that most current shredders do not shred CD/ DVDs. However, since I use Blu-ray discs for storage, I was pleased to find this unit still in circulation. The second feature that attracted the touch screen. I noticed that the housing was made of a flimsy plastic and was concerned about placing the heavy shredding mechanism on top. So, I decided to place the mechanism face down. Applied the heavy shredder to the housing. This way, I know that for sure, the two sections are locked into place, and eliminates pinched fingers. To date, I enjoy using this shredder. I had put it to the test by shredding at least fifty sheets of paper, in groups of twelve of course. Performance went exceptionally well. I also was pleased that three plastic liners were supplied. Odd that in the instruction booklet, there was not an option to reorder the bags. Interesting. There was a bit of confusion pertaining to the amount of time one can shred paper. I have seen twenty minutes (On Other Sites), and then I saw ten minutes. I see some sites are playing the word game.

I purchased this since I do a lot of HIPPA related work, this shredder is a "monster". It had no problem shredding the pile had backed up due to my prior shredder dying. Best shredder I ever had.

Right out of the box tried to put the wheels on this shredder is a joke. Placed the wheels on the bottom and guest what? The wheels pop right out cause there is no resistance to hold them in place. Haven't really used it. Tested on one sheet of paper. I Wished my older and taller shredder one didn't break down.

I have a malfunction with my shredder. The waste drawer pops open while shredding, This is very annoying.. I love this shredder and I paid a a lot of money for it. I can not return it.... what must I do? I bought a expensive shredder ... and this happens... I am not happy!

We purchased a Fellows 73Ci in 2013. We used it a whole lot. When the old one bit the dust, there was no question as to which shredder to purchase. The only caveat about the new shredder is that only I can use the shredder so that it does not get overheated and burn out. It is a great shredder and it does such a thorough job. I'll probably never purchase another make of shredder as this is superior to any I have ever used.

We took it out of the box. We expected it would be difficult to put together because it was heavy, but it was SO EASY! We put the wheels on last (which I don't recommend), but otherwise it's great! We have already shredded about 50 pounds of paper and it's performing well. Thanks!

As of this time and with rather limited use, I can't say whether or not I am pleased with this shredder. It does shred what I have fed into it, but it also has a strange way of running. When I first turn it on and feed paper into it, it runs very slow. If I touch the safety bar around the feed slot, it will stop, as it is supposed to do, then run at high speed to finish shredding the paper. If I'm quick enough, I can feed the rest of the paper into it while it is running at high speed. I don't believe that this is how it.s supposed to work, therefore I'm holding off any excellent rating as I'm not sure it is going to keep working.

Just received this shredder and now I can get rid of the large pile of confidential items that need to be shredded. Great as a cross cut because I can bag it all and then in the spring dump it into the compost because it is tiny pieces might as well make this useful and help the environment.

Very quiet operation. It says cross-cut shredder, but I only see 1/8" strips of 2" long. I will read manual to learn more.

The setup is frustrating, especially attaching the wheels. I know I'm not the only customer who has found this to be true. Online instructions are better, but sheet that comes with machine is inadequate.

Safe, CAN'T insert too many sheets so there will NEVER be a jam. My wife jammed up my last two shredders so badly that I just pitched them rather than attempt disassembly. If the shreds were smaller I would be happier but for the price I compromised on the shred size.

I feel that this shredder works okay if you are only putting 5 sheets of paper into it. We shred a lot of paper and with the name worlds toughest shredders 'powershred', I would think it should shred more than 8 sheets at a time.

I am very impressed with thus shredder. I ordered one for our small office a week ago and we love it! We had an older Fellowes shredder model and it stopped working on us. I decided to still stick with the Fellowes brand by ordering something similar, which is the Powershred 73Ci model. I love how beautifully designed it is and how quiet it is. All of the reviews I've seen on this model have been very good. I highly recommend this shredder to anyone with a small office or small business! :)

I have used less expensive shredders and none of them have lasted. They jam too frequently. This one seems to be perfect for my needs.

This shredder has not lived up to its claim of 12 sheets. It jams on an envelope with just 3 folded papers inside. Very disappointing.

I purchased this shredder as I was frustrated using a small portable shredder. I have been very pleased with the extremely quiet performance of this machine. It has not jammed, and I have not had the shredder overheat or stop working as yet, even though I was using the feed for a while. The feed operates very smoothly. I would highly recommend this machine as it is functional and versatile.

We have only had this shredder a short time in our office, but so far everyone loves it! It is much quieter than our old shredder and works every time you want to shred something! We appreciate its ability to shred several pages at once as it speeds up the process. So far, so good!

We've had this product a little over a month now and I love it. It's much quieter, less mess and has not jammed once. So glad our office products rep recommended this product :-). He said that he himself has a little older version and it continues to work like a champ.
