I returned this product to Staples. The previous shredder I had was a small household micro-cut. It was powerful, quiet, and reliable. I purchased this 64CB with hopes of the same. I was extremely disappointed. The 64CB being a cross cut had large cuts which filled the bin very quickly. Although it was quiet it seemed to struggle with just a few sheets. The safety feature was too temperamental causing it to stop whenever your hands came anywhere near the opening. I know this is the purpose, but it seemed to stop shredding too frequently. I also didn't realized that it did not have casters. That was my fault for not reading closer, but nevertheless I was disappointed. I do not recommend this shredder at all especially for the price.

This machine is much quieter than my old Fellowes shredder. I love the casters, which were very easy to install. Pull out drawer is very nice-- easy to use and large, but the machine is still discreetly placed.

This is the best shredder I've owned. It will keep on shredding even to the point of coming loose at the seams. Have had no problems due to manufacture, only problems encountered are user induced. I highly recommend this shredder to any possible buyer.

Love this shredder - fast, quiet, powerful. However, bin is messy to empty - poor design has back edge of bin scrapping across shreds hanging from cutters, leaving shreds all over the place. On first unit, inside plastic cutter guides/guards broke after about 15 months, leaving unit useless. Have bought 2nd one hoping odds of two faults in a row is pretty low. Would recommend unit though for positive attributes.

While there are many shredders at retailers and office supply stores, many of them are simply not good enough to handle any kinds of volumes of documents. The Powershred 69Cb Cross-Cut Shredder can handle plenty of documents at one time (up to 10), and it does so with ease. Add in the fact that its pretty quiet compared to others, and you have a solid unit for a home office or just personal document shredding. A solid buy!

We just started using Fellowes 69b shredder and it's been working well. We had another shredder for years, but had several jams that took time and work to clear. So far we've had no problems with the Fellowes shredder and we shredded a variety of materials.

This thing is amazing! It shreds credit cards, staples and even small paper clips. Much quieter than my last one that burnt out in 6 months. I love the removable basket, very convenient and less messy.

I have used other shredders in the past and they always overheated. With the other ones I would have to clean some of the shredded paper out of the "teeth" because they would jam up. The other ones were real loud also. This shredder is much quiter, does not jam, and has never overheated. I am very happy with this shredder.

I just purchased a Fellowes 69Cb Cross-Cut Shredder and I love it. It was one of the only shredders that I could find with a narrow design, perfect for under or on the side of a desk. It is more than powerful enough to handle its 10 sheet rating. The instructions are clear and easy. I had a question about oiling the shredder and it was answered with one quick scan of the manual. I definitely recommend this product for any home or small office.

I love this 69Cb cross cut shredder. It is a bull dog! I have worked with lots of shredders over the years and can see why it should be a 5 star rating. I shredded 10-15 trash bags of paper and it stood up to all the performance capabilities listed and would recommend it to all my friends! Customer Service also gets a 5 star rating. They were patient and went above and beyond in making sure my product was registered and had NO NO NO defects! Good customer service is hard to find and it makes the purchase experience all the more worthwhile. Thank You for such an awesome service.

This shredder is very, very messy. When opening the bin, you have to reach in and remove all the shredding which has bunched up on the blades and a lot lands on the floor. Also, after removing the bin, the floor of the shredder is covered in shredding...very disappointing.

The 33433 I purchased replaces a more modest shredder that had worked very well until the day a plastic disk broke. Had heard of Fellowes as a quality product and had used one in my sister's home, so I began there. After doing a good bit of research online, I felt the reputation of the company was supported by the feedback of buyers/users, and thus focused by search there. Compared Feddowes products by online retailers and selected a model that suited my needs. at the best competitive price. Have just begun using it and find the quality to be excellent and performance as represented, especially capacity and sound level. My only criticism: the large bin is somewhat difficult to empty without spilling the cross-cut material on the floor or into the area underneath the pullout bin as it is being removed. My solution so far is to empty the bin more frequently, which isn't the most desirable situation, but it's easier than cleaning up the mess every time the bin is emptied.

My first Fellowes shredder lasted well over ten years when one day, it just gave up the ghost. It was not fancy but had met all my needs so I looked for a new shredder by the same company. I spent a little more money and am pleased with my purchase. I do not have to remove the top with the motor in it to empty the bin; in my new shredder, the bin pulls out! What an improvement! In addition, as it cross-cuts the paper, it takes a lot more for the bin to fill up. It is also on casters which makes it very easy to move from place to place. I am completely satisfied and would recommend this shredder to anyone. Thus far, the pros far outweigh the cons.

Gentlemen, Over all I’m happy with the shredder. I also like the safety features. It’s much quieter than my pervious shredders. However I find that to much of the shredded paper misses the collection container. Also, I would like to be able to shred 15 to 25 sheets like my past shredder. But since I bought this model it has been reliable and worked hard almost every day that I’ve had it. I would recommend this shredder to anyone that was in need of a good shredder.

When I read that this shredder was quiet I thought to myself, yeah right. This one really is quiet. I have an answering service and have someone on the phone at all times. I can actually shred while someone is on the phone and they can't hear a thing. For the price, it is a real dream come true.

It is VERY hard to empty bin due to it's shape & size. When emptied (even when bin is not full), shredded paper is stuck and bunched at shredder bar & when bin is pulled out (you can't get you hand in until you pull the bin out a little)it hits the paper bunched there, knocks it loose and drops the shredded paper into bottom of machine.

We have a huge yard and garden. Old newspaper and other "light" paper makes very good compost. This unit devowers paper gently processed. It makes for excellent compost mixed with our never ending supply of cow manure.

I've had this shredder for about 2 months now and could not be more pleased. Follow the instructions (especially oiling) and it works like a dream. I'm careful not to shred too many documents at one time and give the shredder its "rest" so I don't tempt overheating. If you're trying to decide, don't hesitate - super value at a great price.
