I am a software developer with over 20 years of experience, On early days of my career I had been using some standard mouse pads until I started feeling a pain in my wrist. Roughly 10 years ago I purchased exactly this product in colour blue. All wrist problems gone. No miracle, just this mouse pad helped me, I am still using it but unfortunately this year a fabric covering the gel ripped off a bit slightly irritating my skin, that's why I need to search for a replacement now, it will be the same model if I get it somewhere, not easy to find it, Amazon will be my choice. No bad smell (obviously you need to clean it from time to time), working with a wide variety of computer mouses including many laser models, currently MS Mobile 4000. No single problem!

Working long hours on my laptop I needed a wrist pressure relieve. I found the Fellowes product extremely helpful with their innovative foam fusion technology. Now, I can work long hours and do not complaint about my wrist pressure. I highly recommend this product.

The mouse pad feels great but the smell is overpowering, like a chemical/plastic-like stink that attaches itself to what ever comes into contact with it. Purchased through Staples Preferred, and I've already thrown out the package, hopefully I can get a replacement. Is it normal for a microban product to smell this bad?

This product does not work with my Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0, that I've used for years with no issues on a different black mousepad. I suspect the issue is the black fabric. I have put scotch tape over the mousing area to make it work. The wrist support is good, although it could be a bit higher for my taste.
