I purchased this as a replacement for my former Fellows shredder. It works fantastic as expected from this manufacturer. It is used constantly in my home office to ensure privacy and protection of important documents. I would highly recommend this product. It is truly the best shredder i have ever owned or used. i have recommended this unit to all of my personal and professional contacts. I have been a loyal FELLOWS customer for many years and that relationship will continue. GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT COMPANY!

Worked quietly for 2 months and less than 400 sheets of paper. It is now making grinding noise and right at the end sounds like somethings breaking inside. Also, I now have to push the paper in by applying some force, whereas before I just dropped the paper in. Not sure, perhaps a not fully QC'd unit? I mean other reviews rave about it!

With expanding our office and being a new building, we needed an upgrade. With such positive experience with Fellows in the past as well as our old shredder being a Fellows too, knew it would be the best to go that route. Now, we can say Fellows does not disappoint. Plenty of safety and guards, quiet running and decent size drum for shredding. It has been a bonus in the office and another reason why it was worth the money to invest in our staff for a more efficient product to keep the ball rolling!

My old Fellowes DM17Ci came to an end of a brilliant life and the 99Ci seemed to be the new version. It was reassuring that something so similar was still available which of itself was a good sign. I am pleased with the new one especially that it takes more sheets at a time and so far hasn't triggered the red light at all. However there is no cord tidy to wind the cord around when not required. I hate trailing cables. The other issue is that the drawer is cardboard rather than smooth plastic the the DM17Ci had. This makes it far harder to pull the full bag out ready for disposing of. It catches on the plastic fixings. Otherwise I have no complaints.

This is a very tough shredder. I accidentally put in my metal credit card in there, and it did get stuck but I was able to get that thing out without any damage to the shredder. I would highly recommend this 99CI Fellowes shredder. It is heavy duty and have server me well over the years.

I've had several Fellowes shredders over the years but this one is just not functional. Isues are, first, it runs continuously. will not stop for any reason other than powering off, overheating or safety switch activation. Second, will shut down after only 2 to 3 minutes of running with the overheating light illuminated and will not turn back on for at least 20 minutes. Third, the safety switch is so tight that a single sheet of paper will not feed through. I need to use at least 5 sheets to make it stiff enough to feed in. Fourth, when I do use 5 sheets of paper the overfeed safety activates shutting the shredder off. The overfeed lights start off 1 level away from overfeed and shutdown. Very useful! I can get more accomplished with a good pair of scissors.

I have several Fellowes Shredders and they always live up to my expectations. I have had others in the past that I was dissatisfied with but the FELLOWES beats them all hands down. It is fairly quiet and jam proof so far. Shreds everything I have put through it so far. I really like the Shredder very much. My son purchased my first one for me and told me it was the best. He has several also. I found it to be excellent.

The machine is excellent and of top quality except the bin. Although the bin door is plastic, the bin itself is cardboard. Yes, I said cardboard. This design is beneath the name & reputation of Fellowes. It's like buying a Ferrari car that comes with wooden wheels of a Stagecoach.

Purchased in 2017. Used only for 2 member household. Shredder jams as PLASTIC strippers (that clear shredder blades) broke. Stripper (that clear cutters) is NOT covered under "lifetime" cutter warranty. We even purchased and used the (high priced Fellowes) lubricant as directed. Having used Fellowes shredders at home and work for over 20 years, totally disappointed by customer service.

This purchase was a replacement of one I owned since 2007. The new one works quieter and is equally as efficient; however, the paper basket is made of plastic corrugated. While lighter it does not push in as nicely as the old one. I chose to insert and use the old basket and it works perfectly. In my opinion, the manufacturer got cheap. Additionally, I like the old electrical cord that could be disconnected at the shredder not only at the plug. The new one is permanently connected to the shredder requiring one to crawl under desks to plug and unplug.

I needed to purchase a new shredder for home office use, but after looking around all the usual shops such as Currys etc, found nothing that was substantial enough or robust enough for our home office requirements. After wasting time in the stores I'm pleased to say that I quickly found what I needed online with the Fellowes Powershred 99ci Cross-Cut Shredder. This particular shredder is ideal for a small office or home office use. It is strong and keeps going for a decent amount of time (up to 30 minutes if necessary, before demanding a tea break(!) although I haven't personally had to use it for that long in one session myself yet). I thoroughly recommend it especially if you need to frequently shred confidential information etc. The base container holds a decent amount of shredded paper before having to empty it, but note that it does help to pull out the bin and 'Squash it down' occasionally to keep the shredder flowing freely without jamming due to shredded material accumulating under the shredding mechanism.

I've used the shredder for about two weeks and shredded approximately 15 bags of material. Shredder performs admirably, overall. I did have a couple of jams which I contribute to possibly placing too much material in the shredder. Probably suggest less than 18 pages, although it will handle this amount. The container bin is poorly made. It works but could be so much better made. Looks like the corrugated material from post office boxes, therefore the 3 stars in this area. Shreds cd's, small paper clips and staples as advertised. I reviewed several shredders at all price points before choosing the 99ci. I have many, many pounds of documents to dispose of going back more than 10 years. I have full confidence that the 99ci will do what I need and more. Were it not for the quality of the bin and some shredded material falling behind the bin when shredding or trying to pack it down when full, I would have given this machine 5 stars. Great value! I am not disappointed, and I definitely recommend it.

Works great! The "SafeSense" sensor really works. Runs very quiet. Love that it has casters to move around but also does not take up a great deal of space.

The shredder does the job its fun to see it swallow up everything you feed it no need to worry about size or thickness of paper it has safeguards against over feeding or thickness. We call it feeding the beast. Downloaded owners manual. It was easy to set up. Like that it has casters so you can wheel/move it to the area that you want to do the shredding. Like sit on the sofa as you feed in the paper.

We are very happy we bought the Fellowes Power Shredder ggCiI I have done many years of shredding and got pretty much done. We are so glad be bought this one. We realize there are many others with the cost of half this price. You get what you buy and that is jamming and over heating. Not with this you don't feel shredding is a stress free and enjoy doing what needs to be done. I totally recommend this one to everyone! One of the best investments we have done!
