For repairs, customers can repair this device until the number of times and cost of the repair exceeds the retail price of the product.

Can I purchase an Adorama Protect plan for used and pre-owned purchases?

When you buy used or pre-owned gear from Adorama, you can purchase a one-year Adorama Protect plan. Coverage kicks in after the retailer warranty ends. If your gear experiences mechanical or electrical failure, Adorama Protect will repair it or replace it with a similar item at no additional cost. Pre-existing damage is excluded from coverage.

How do I purchase an Adorama Protect powered by Extend Protection Plan?

Adorama protection plan can be purchased online, in-store or by phone at time of product purchase, as well as within 30 days post order shipped for used or pre-owned products.

Adorama Protect powered by Extend plans provide peace of mind and financial protection. When the manufacturer’s warranty expires, the Extend plan will continue to cover mechanical or electrical product failures. Extend is a reliable service that makes purchasing and filing claims on protection plans easy through an easy-to-use online portal and great customer experience team.

What products are covered?

For online, available protection plans will be visible on the product detail page and throughout the shopping experience. For store and phone orders, please speak with the sales representative for available protection plans.

Are protection plans available for purchase Internationally?

Adorama Protect plans are available only in the United States including U.S. territories (i.e. Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Island, and American Samoa). Adorama Protect powered by Extend is not available for international purchases.

What do I need to utilize an Adorama Protect powered by Extend Protection Plan?

You will need your contract ID or email address handy in order to file a claim through the Extend Customer Claims Portal or by contacting Extend’s Customer Care Team at 877-248-7707. If you contact Adorama directly to file the claim, you may be warmly transferred to Extend via phone at 877-248-7707.

Where is the contract ID?

This will be included in the email you would have received after purchasing a protection plan that details

If a product covered by Extend is replaced or repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty, does the Adorama Protect powered by Extend plan cover the new product?

Yes, the replacement or repaired product will continue to be covered under Adorama Protect powered by Extend protection plan.

What is the repair process to file a claim under an Adorama Protect by Extend Protection Plan?

Extend makes it easy to file a claim either through the call center or the online portal. Below are the steps you will go through to have your product replaced:

  • Customer simply provides a contract ID, email address, or another piece of identifying information to Extend
  • Extend entitles (validates) contract coverage by ensuring:
  • The plan is active
  • The date is between the Effective & Expiration Dates
  • The customer will then answer a few Adjudication questions
  • High-level troubleshooting steps are offered
  • If a repair is required, Extend will generate a shipping label for the customer to ship the broken product for repair
  • Once product is received by the service depot, we will notify the customer that repairs are in progress
  • Once the repair is complete, the product will be shipped back to the customer
  • You can repair this device until the number of times and cost of the repair exceeds the retail price of the product.

Can I cancel my Extend Protection Plan?

Yes, customers can cancel their coverage at any time.

If I cancel my Extend plan, what is the refund policy?

The customer is entitled to a full refund within 60 days of purchase as long as the contract is not fulfilled. After 60 days, the customer is entitled to a pro-rata refund on the unused portion of the service contract.
