Meets all expectations. Allows all equipment storage needed and then some. I do wish it could be carried by a shoulder strap or at least had that capability.

When I need to take my cameras to go hiking, trailing or go to a games this backpack helps making it easier to travel with. Things that makes it awesome that it has built in material that protects my cameras and my laptop. The shape of the backpack looks like a pre-school look.

Backpack is big, holds a lot of gear and is managable on your back. Good for transporting gear but not really for a lot of walking around. Mine weighs almost 30 pounds when fully loaded with camera, lens and notebook. It's well built. This backpack does not fit under the seat on many planes (eg, 737, 767) nor in the overhead of smaller one (eg, CRJ200). No problem getting thru airport security with it. Beats having a laptop and camera bag to lug around.

This was a recommendation in Shutterbug magazine. I ordered it and turns out the recommendation is a good one. Plenty of space and moderate protection.

I purchased this bag in 2005 for its price. I have used it daily since. The bag has held up well with very little noticable wear. The laptop area has a double zipper. The left sise zipper stopped working last summer but it closes with either of the two zippers that travel the entire distance. It zips completly closed with the right side zipper. Even so, with seven years of use, I recommend this bag. It is roomy and of quality. It is the most reasonable priced bag for its size and quality.

I use this product to store my gear and to have my gear with me when I travel. This bag accompanies all of my gear and I still have plenty of room to grow. The zippers seem to be of good quality and the bag by itself is not overly cumbersome. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a big bag to store their camera, accessories and a small lens collection.

I'll see how it hold up over time, but this backpack appears to be well constructed. The harness adjusts so getting a comfortable fit only takes a few seconds. The design is efficient, and the pack includes a rain cover. Overall this backpack is an excellent value.

It is constructed vety well, i like that it has room for acesserys and lots of zipers to acess every thing.

This pack is well designed and seems well constructed. I'll see how it holds up over time, but for now it suits my purposes. It is large enough for my Canon EOS 1Ds three lenses and a flash with room for one more lens, such as a 180/3.5L macro. I hate fiddly zippers, and the zippers on this pack are smooth and easy to move. Overall, this seems an excellent value for the money.

My question before I ordered this bag was how well my gear would fit. I am able to fit a Nikon D7000 with battery grip & 18-200 lens attached plus 70-200 f2.8 and 11-16 f2.8 zooms & 35mm, 50mm primes & 55mm macro with extension tube. In addition, there is room for 2 SB-600 flashes plus a couple sections still available for accessories in the main compartment. The other zippered compartment works well for small/flat accessories like cleaning supplies, filters & extra lens caps, etc. In addition to a full size laptop in the back zippered compartment, an iPad will fit in the front pocket which has a velcro closure. Fully loaded, the pack stands up nicely on the rubber reinforced bottom and is easily carried by the top handle. When wearing the fully loaded backpack, the straps are reasonably comfortable & adjustable but you can easily put way too much weight in this pack for it to be comfortable for serious hiking, etc. since it does not include a waist belt, etc.

I was very surprised when I received this. It was much larger than I suspected and the quality of the build is just as good as any other I've owned including LowePro. The laptop pocket is nicely located at the back instead of the front which means I can get to my gear without having to lift the weight of the laptop. That's much better than the bag I replaced with this. The bag is very stiff which is something I wanted. I've found many bags that were too flexible for my tastes as I don't like my gear moving around. The best thing about this bag is traveling by air with it. It fits just barely under the seat of a plane so I don't have to store it overhead. I can throw all my gear, laptop, some magazines, and a few other goodies in here with chargers for the phone and laptop. There is even a nice strap on the back side that slides over a rolling carry-on bag to keep it stacked neatly on top so you can roll the two together through the terminal rather than carry it. Overall I'm extremely pleased and highly recommend this bag.

This is a great camera bag. I had a canon dg and you can't get much in there. This bag holds a lot. I can have my camera with a 70-200 telephoto and a extender attached and lay in this bag. There are slots for your card Zip pouches to hold your items. There is so much room in this. And as I walked with this on my back it is very comfortable. I would recommend this bag to anyone. The price is great also.

Needed a lighter weight pack for my trip to the Washington and Oregon. Able to pack my digital SLR with two 70-300mm, one 150-500mm, one wide angle zoom lenses; my 645 slr with wide angle lens, along with my 15-inch notebook, GPS, two propacks of film and photo accessories. Equipment seemed to be well protected. Able to fit it under the seat or in bin of airplane. My other photo backpack is bigger and heavier to begin with and doesn't fit on airplanes as well, but has wheels for transport through airports, etc.

This backpack is awesome for its sheer capacity! I can pack my entire kit of 2 DSLR bodies with "normal" zooms, one long telephoto zoom, wide-angle zoom, 1.4 teleconverter, flash unit, Cokin Pro filter kit with rings and several filters, foam-type flash diffusers, several sets of NiMH batteries for flash, 4 CF cards, cleaning cloths, and small (11.6") notebook computer and I still have room for more stuff...! It's heavy with all that, but that's expected. The one drawback is that when it's that full, it may not work as a carry-on for airline flights (I have a smaller backpack that I can use). The backpack seems really sturdy (it's holding up just fine after several months of almost daily use) and it's fully adjustable for fit, with a chest-level connecting strap to pull some of the weight forward. All of the pockets are fully adjustable with velcro fasteners, and there are a lot of outside pockets and flaps. It will also allow you to connect a tripod. You cannot lose for this price!

Having read some negative comments about the construction of the Joe Farace pack, I was a little skeptical until I used it. My pack carried my camera, video camera, computer, and every space was full of extra gear for a recent trip. It handled all of the dragging through airports, catching the straps on unmovable objects, and being pushed in and out of tight storage areas I could throw at it. As full as it was, it did push the limits of how much weight I wanted to carry, BUT, it never failed to do the job. I love the depth of the case, the very helpful outside pockets, and the many inside dividers. The top carry handle deserves special recognition for it's rugged utility. Being able to tuck to shoulder straps was another great feature. Some packs place the computer at the rear of the case near the outside. This pack places the laptop at the front, between the pack, and the straps where it is more protected. I would recommend this pack to anyone even over some others which bear a higher price tag.

There are plenty of new camera bags out there, but these bags have stood the test of time, and are still in production. Here’s a short, biased (and Domke-heavy) round-up of bags that this pro shooter..
