I had the same bag for the last 10 years. The strap broke and I replaced it with the exact same bag. This is a good bag if only carry one extra lens and a flash, etc

Bought this for Mother's Day, and Mom absolutely loves it. has enough room for a couple of cameras, lenses and even her Kindle. I'm going to have to order one for myself.

Besides holding a large Canon 5D Mark III and its gadgets, there is a front pouch that can hold a wallet and other personal items.

Great, well thought-out design that makes a great pre-packed "go" bag as well as for storage between shoots. The best I can say is that I bought a second bag in a different color and use both bags.

I bought it thinking it would be perhaps big enough for my set of Olympus PEN cameras and accessories. Much to my surprise, everything fit in it with room to spare. Very well organized space. I had already ordered another rather more expensive bag and when it arrived, I decided I didn't need 2 big bags and gave it to my granddaughter for her big Canon with 2 lenses. Everything fits in it fine with room to spare AND she loves it ... not easy to satisfy a teenage girls with a serious photography habit!

Unbeatable value in a classic well made camera bag that can be quickly customized for many different situations.

The bag is well designed. It is easy to access your gear, provides excellent protection, has lots of storage pockets, waist strap as well as being able to configure the shoulder strap in different positions. I would like to have seen a pad on the shoulder strap. I have several bags but this is the one I use for a day at the beach, zoo etc. Maroon wouldn't have been my choice of color but for $30 off the regular price I can live with it.

When I bought this I didn't plan on carrying it around every day, but even though it's a bit bulky for casual daily use it carries the weight so well I find myself just grabing it every morning. Everything is organized, protected and easy to get to. The only problem is that it makes it to easy to try to stuff everything in it. The only improvements I would make would be a wider shoulder strap and more velcro inside the main compartment.

At first, I just bought it because it was on sale and one can never have too many camera bags, or so I tell my wife. But this was much roomier than I expected. Looking at it, I realized it would possibly hold my 4x5 field camera. So I started to experiment. This bag will hold: Toyo Field 45AII, Fuji 240mm, Nikon 90mm lenses mounted in soft wraps, 4 77mm filters with step rings, 5 film holders, Gossen Starlite meter, dark cloth, loupe. I tried the Gossen because it was the biggest meter I had for the sake of experimentation, but if you lose the meter and use your digital camera instead, you can add a 65mm Nikon lens, too. Still a bit of room in small pockets I haven't even tried, but no room for a focusing hood in lieu of the dark cloth. Now, I'm on a roll and curious, so I tried a few other packs: Mamiya RZ67, 50mm, 65mm, 110mm lenses, metering prism finder, 4 77mm filters, 120 back, 2 5-packs of 120 film. Still a bit of room in unused pockets, but those are big honking lenses and the metering prism is huge. Really, the 4x5 pack took up less space. Pentax 645N, 45-85mm, 80-160mm, 35mm prime in soft wrap, 120mm macro in soft wrap, 4 77mm filters with step rings, 120 back, 2 5-packs of 120 film. A pretty good amount of space left. As an anticlimatic conclusion, I stuck in a Nikon D700, 18-35mm, 70-300mm, 105mm macro, SB900 flash, a 77mm polarizer with step rings. Still Plenty of Room for batteries and cards. You could add t-shirt, shorts, socks and a toothbrush. Would you carry it all on an outing? Naw, but you might on an overnighter. There were a couple of little pockets that would hold whatever little things you like to carry such as a compass or flashlight, that I never even touched. These were experiments, but this bag passed with flying colors. Now if it just had a tripod loop... Hmm, could probably rig something with OpTech pro loops... But I digress. This bag is solidly stitched, well thought out, and a good investment.

I love the bag. Its the perfect size for my Canon 40D and an extra lens, lens hood and cards. The only thing I dislike about it is that on the inside there are a lot of velcro strips. I'm always worried that these strips will scratch my camera.

This bag works really well for me, and a very old Nikon with one extra wide angle lens. It has very nice padding for those of us who tend to throw things around. I am very satisfied with this bag but I am also only a casual photographer. I really like the design of having the strap sling over my shoulder.

I've been using this bag for a few years now and it's my favorite. I have a small case for carrying only the camera when I'm traveling light and a big Lowepro one for when I want to take everything along but I mostly use the slinger. I'm usually hiking around a lot so it's important to have the equipment I want without a lot of extra bulk. I carry my DSLR (before that my film SLR) with a 16-80, a 70-300, a 11-18 and a 2x telextender (goes below the camera's zoom). There's plenty of room for spare batteries, cleaning equipment, filters, spare batteries, memory cards, etc. The carry handle on the top is handy when not using the sling. Best of all it comes in colors other than black; I really didn't want a black case to cook my film. I'm surprised that more cases don't come in decent colors; even a green one would stay cooler and also blend in with the environment.

I've had my Slinger for nearly two years, and use it every day to carry a smallish DSLR, and everything else I can think of - pills, pens, pads, small tools, eye glasses, etc. I'm constantly amazed at how much can be crammed in when needed; pockets aplenty; water/pop bottles in the side mesh pockets, change in the rear, tools in the front, assorted bandaids and coffee sweetners under the lid, and everything else in the adjustably divided main compartment. The slinger wears like IRON; I am far from gentle with stuff and after two years this bag shows just about no wear at all! I just about never leave home without it; carried it all over Southern France on a trip last year. I've also taken it and my stuff XC skiing several times, as well as trail hiking. It's "messenger bag" over-the-shoulder + stabilizer strap design holds it securly and balanced so that it can be very stable indeed. While not "weatherproof", the Slinger is highly weather resistant and I have no qualms about walking around in the rainy Portland, OR weather with my stuff in it. A quick shot of Silicon spray from some place like REI would further improve that aspect. Others commented on its size; well see the above; but the small version will be a tight fit for larger cameras plus lens assortment and other paraphenalia I want when I'm doing "serious" photography. So, I just bought a second slinger in the LARGE size, which does hold a D300 along with 18-200VR, 12-24VR with room for perhaps a 70-300VR, PLUS everything else I already mentioned and more. Just wish the large ones cam in the "red" color (more like a burgandy wine color) :-)

I love this bag for travel. It holds several lenses, a camera, filters, battery charger... I am a gadget hog and so far it holds everything. I use a different bag for day use since this bag might be a little big for hiking. This bag works as the central unit. I am happy with the quality.

I'm always in search of the perfect camera bag, and this one comes pretty darn close. I can carry my camera and 2 extra lenses, and my various odds and ends. I can't wait to take it on an extended trip!

This bag holds my Digital SLR, 2 aux lenses, Electronic flash & bracket, battery charger and misc filters, lens shades ,cards & reader ect. This bag carries everything I need but my 400 mm lens. This is the best bag I have owned since 1955 when I bought my first one.Since I have bought mine Adorama has also come out with a wider model also.
